The Floral Dress & The Sunday Showcase

Hello and Happy Easter my friends! I'm excited to bring you the second Sunday Showcase Link up with Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood, Kellyann with This Blonde's Shopping Bag and myself. Our link up is featured the first Sunday of every month, which happens to be Easter this go round, so we are sharing spring dresses, but feel free to link up anything you would like to showcase today!

I picked up this green, floral and velvet trim dress at White House Black Market's during one of their clearance sales. My hope was to style it for as many seasons as possible, which seems to be going as planned. In the fall I wore it on our cruise, in the winter I layered it with a dressy sweater (see that one HERE) and now I'm sharing three more ways to style this feminine, frilly and floral dress...

With a cozy scarf...

With A Blazer...

With A Cardigan...

Outfit Breakdown
The Dress: WHBM
The Shoes: WHBM
The Blazer: Banana Republic
The Scarf: Altar'd State
Clutch: Altar'd State
Pearls: NecklaceBracelet
***See my link up PAGE for a list of all the fabulous link ups I love to connect with!

Where I Wore It:

This past weekend my hubby and I attended a wedding at the beautiful Toccoa Falls in Toccoa Falls Georgia. It's only a little over an hour from our home, but the hubs and I arranged for our boys to stay with family so we could spend an evening away. Thank you Rachael and Caleb for giving us a good excuse to get away! And what better reminder is there to nurture your marriage than a wedding!

Ok beauties! Once again let me say, Happy Easter...
"But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come see the place where he lay." Matthew 28:5,6

  1. Wow Chrissy, this dress is GORGEOUS on you! I love the bralette with it - so clever. Those colors - olive, burgundy, are definitely your colors my friend!!! And so funny that you and I chose one of the same posts from last month as a favorite!

    1. Hello my friend! I hope you had a great Easter with your family. And thank you so much. I avoided bralettes for so long - why? I guess I had to find the perfect one and I love the strap width on this one. :) I hope you have a wonderful week and yes to rejoicing!!

  2. I love this olive floral dress so much and I especially love it worn as is with that stunning matchy olive bralette showing underneath it. The shoes you paired it with are perfect and the style of open-toed booties is perfect to transition into Spring, too. I love how the dress is so versatile and can be dressed up or down. I love it particularly with the blue blazer or the fuzzy pink scarf - both are perfect for a Spring Wedding. Paired with the wine-colored long cardi makes a great Fall look, too. I also love the outfits of both ladies you featured this week, Chrissy. You and Kellyann both chose Nailil. She does look stunning in that bustier off-shoulder top.

    Happy Easter my sweet friend!!

    1. Thank you so much Ada! The scarf and the blazer were my first choices to wear but the cardigan was the warmest. It was COLD out by the falls. lol. I did laugh when I saw that Kellyann and I chose the same post...I guess I really want a trip out to Texas for a rodeo!

  3. Chrissy, I am dying over this dress! It's green, it's floral, and it's trimmed in velvet! My heart. You look amazing, my friend. And what a fun little getaway to go to a wedding. We have my brother-in-law's wedding coming up next month and while often I don't really enjoy all the hoopla of a wedding, I am looking forward to a night out with the hubs! Fabulous post and fabulous look, as always. Happy Easter!
