Positively Posh in Plaid: Two Ways to Style Windowpane Plaid
Buffalo, Glen, Tattarsall, Tartan, Pin Check, Shepherd's Check, Gingham, Windowpane...These are just a few of the plaid variations going on in the world my friends! In full disclosure, I had not taken the time to research the different plaids and their origins. Plaid was always just plaid to me, save for the gingham and buffalo plaids that have taken the fashion world by storm! Admittedly, I find it fascinating to know that Glen plaid originated from Scotland, but I have to stop there. There's far too much laundry to continue. So for today, I'm camping on the new to me variation of plaid - the windowpane! Join me for two similar in color, but vastly different in "feel" styles in this classic and effortlessly chic WINDOWPANE jacket. AND look for a discount code for YOU!

More Spooky Fun With Simply Earth - Makeup Remover & Creepy Crawler's Repellant
"Um, Mom! Why does he get to do the creepy, crawly repellant and I have to do the makeup remover pads??"
"They're Halloween Makeup Remover Pads!"
Perfectly placated, my youngest, by a mere 8 minutes, contentedly carried on with our third DIY project from October's subscription box by Simple Earth essential oils. Just that morning he requested "fun things" to do in the school lineup. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm not a crafter OR a planner, but if there are simple instructions and supplies waiting for me I'm all for it.
If the project is something we will actually use - even better! And today I'm sharing two more BENEFICIAL, Practical and Giftable DIY recipes.
*Warning: If you continue reading this post, you will be accosted by pictures of adorable children. I apologize for any heart melting that may occur, as well as any sudden desires to run out and adopt puppies or kittens.

Camo Overalls: Stylish, Comfy & Wish List Worthy
While in Nashville, I borrowed these camo overalls by Z Supply from Andrea and fell in love. They are exceedingly soft, give you a little shape and are perfect to wear for an all day excursion. Oh, they are more versatile than one would think. I'm picturing them with heels, a fitted cami or body suit and maybe even a blazer for a night out. For these reasons, I'm sharing them with you, as well as putting them on my wish list!

Flannels, Leggings & Pumpkin Spice: All in a Tee
For the beautiful free-falling-colorful leaves; for the chilly temps, hot cups of cider, bonfires, corn mazes and pumpkin carvings, spookily decorating the front porches, I'll live vicariously through many of you. Meanwhile, I'll dig deep and awaken fall vibes with decorations sprinkled throughout the house and...this fabulous GRAPHIC TEE, a thoughtful surprise in our Nashville swag bag. I'm sporting this tee all around Florida, but the first time I wore it was comically posing in a small pumpkin patch off 12th South with five other women. This AND a 20% off code for YOU is featured in today's post!

ReThunk Junk: The Cabinets I Dreaded To Paint and Our Family Room Design
Hi! I've mentioned how DIY challenged I am, which begs the question. What am I doing in this apron, looking ready to take on the craft world? Of course there's a story behind it; an adventure, wrapped up in the amateur design of our family room, as well as the redo of a formidable, dark built-in that I dreaded to paint. (This is a lengthy post so if you'd like to skip on down to the paint details, scroll to "Enter My New Favorite Paint.")

Denim Skirts, Fashion Surgery & Link Up
Hello, hello. I hope this Sunday finds you well, relaxing, reflecting or getting into adventures. I'm still on an adventure high from my recent trip to Nashville, which I'll be sharing with you soon! Also, coming up on the blog is a post on my completed cabinets that I painted with the coolest "say no to chalk paint" ever! Ok, that is not the name of this paint, but that's the premiss behind it. Can we say no sanding necessary? Yes we can! As for today's post, I'm pleased to feature this shop-my-closet outfit October's Sunday Showcase with Ada at Elegance and Mommyhood and Kellyann with This Blonde's Shopping Bag! So please join me and/or link up with us today!

Simply Earth's Essential Oils Recipe Box for October Is Superb
The October subscription box for Simply Earth essential oils is out and I LOVE it! The contents make me "feel" October in spite of my hot Florida vibes and I can't wait to share it with YOU! So today I'm thrilled to feature the contents, the first couple of recipes I've already put together, as well as the organization that Simply Earth is partnering with for this month!
Is it crazy that I get so excited about essential oils? After all, this is not my first experience with EOs by any means, and it's not my first box from Simply Earth. (You can read about my first experience with this fabulous company AND my comical first altercation with essential oils HERE in my September post.)
However, the colorful, eye catching recipe cards with step by step instructions for ways to put these quality EOs into day to day use, make this DIY challenged heart happy! Not to mention, the fact that they supply me with activities to engage my younger boys if I so choose.
I'm taking steps towards a more natural home without having to come up with the "what" or "how"!
Now let's get on with sharing goodies for this month!

Nashville Bound & the TBB ASKS Fall Edition
Hey friends! It's October 1st and I can't believe it, but I'm Nashville bound to meet some blogger friends for the first time! This trip has been on the calendar since the beginning of the year, but life and big changes kept this in the back recesses of my mind. Even now today hardly feels real. If it weren't for the fact that I'm sitting in the airport preparing to board a plane, I'd still believe I dreamed up this adventure.
