What I Wore: Sunny, Casual Vibes & Link Up

Are you feeling sunny these days? After realizing that things in our country may only get crazier, I decided to turn off mainstream media altogether. Though I still have a few sources I trust and enjoy, I couldn't stomach the obvious push from the mainstream to divide our nation from several angles. In addition, I made the decision to reeducate myself on matters of health. I forgot the "why" behind much of my health decisions. When you lose your "why", you lose motivation altogether. Guilty!

So, the motivation is there. Now what? Where do I start? Well, my mom ordered me a book she enjoyed by Dr. Livingood (yes, that's his real name - talk about a call on your life).  This book is a 21-day guide to experience real health. Want to join me in reading? He is offering the book for the costs of shipping on his website!

From there I'm building a community of virtual and local friends with the same goals. Some are beginners and some are a wealth of knowledge, but all are wonderful accountability, encouragement, and support.

Combine the renewed motivation with renewed purpose and a plan and I'm starting to feel sunny!

What I Wore: Florida Winter & Link Up

Cardigan / / Sweater / / Cord Pants / / Divina Boots c/o Enjoiya
Hello and welcome by. Today I'm featuring three simple outfits that I wore over the last week! Though January is one of the better months to shop for clothes, I'm only purchasing something if I LOVE it. Therefore, you will continue to see many items on repeat. In turn, I hope to inspire you to make much of your existing closet. Of course, you will also see items from my favorite small businesses pop up as well.

A Pop Of Color For a Muted Look

Did you catch last week's post on my three automatic steps to elevate casual style with flare pants and a plaid top? Well, today's feature elevates a muted look with a pop of color. In addition, I'm also featuring a graphic tee from a new to me online boutique called Sweet Soul Clothing Co.  This company is family-owned, has organic cotton-based designs and supports TISSO, an orphanage in India.

Thankful Tees & Fall Boots

Thankful! As I type this there's a lot of uncertainties out there. Some countries, if they haven't already, are going back on lockdown. Our country, well, suffice it to say it's been an emotional year and we're not finished yet. If I'm honest with myself, I was holding out for relief after elections from the increasing division in society, but if those get drawn out? Only God knows at this point! So it is up to me to continue to rest in His might and capability. Trust, and being thankful for all that I have, which is more than I deserve, is a way to help me with this!

How long is your thankful list? If I start one today and keep adding until the end of the month how long will it be? This is an exercise I look forward to. Want to join me, if you aren't already in a November gratitude challenge? I know that one thing that will be on my list is this community and space. Thank you for your support and encouragement! The blog has always been an adventure in meeting new people, developing relationships with new brands, and so much more!

In fact, today I'm sharing pieces from a few brands I love with discount codes for you! I'll compile the links and codes at the end of this post to keep it simple!

Friday Favorites: Goodbye April

Goodbye April. You were interesting to say the least. I won't share half of what April entailed for me because Friday favorites are meant to be light and fun. And since I have a good dose of sunshine to share that's what I'll focus on - for now. Wink Wink. I'm excited so let's dive right in!

Meet Enjoiya and Meet Luxurious Comfort

Hello my dears. How are you holding up this week?  We had some gloomy days here in Florida but today brought sunshine and calming breezes.  I love these type of days and I fully embrace them while walking our dog, Dolly. After a cup of coffee in the quiet of the morning I grab her harness and she rushes towards the door in expectation. Usually still groggy, I slip on my bright orange shoes...every morning. And that's what I'm pleased to share with you today.

Oh how I've eagerly waited to feature these luxury shoes, designed in Italy and sent to me from Enjoiya. With dog walks on the rise for me, the timing couldn't be better. Happy mom, happy dog?  It only took a couple of wears to break these comfy shoes in. As for design, these shoes are a perforated leather upper with a soft, cushioned insole. Bonus: they get frequent, but distant compliments at the grocery store. Yes, I wear them there as well. :)
