ICYMI: IG Outfits & Life Snippets

Hello! I hope this post is just a small break from an adventure - big or small - that you are experiencing! Blogging tends to be not only my creative outlet, but where I find lots of mini-adventures. Today is no different as I share ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) feature. As I mentioned in a previous post, I participated in my first IG style challenge, which lasts a whole month! Each month features a new challenge and some days are truly a challenge to keep up with pictures, posting times and balancing blog posts with style posts. Due to the daily challenge grind, I determined in my mind to take the next month off. Well, here it is March and I'm still going!
Perhaps it's because I started gaining more interaction on my posts. How sweet it is to have feedback on each labor of outfit love! Or maybe it's because I was randomly drawn and won second place in January! What did I win and how did I get it? Well, I'll share that in just a moment, so read on...;)

"Coffee. Coffee. Coffee"

First up is one of my favorites, featuring this fabulous vest and fun graphic tee. See how I originally styled the vest here. I don't know why but I love how it all came together from navaho vest to leopard flats.  The graphic tee is from an esty shop, Seriously Happy Tees, who happens to be a local as well. I would say this is a combination of boho and edgy, which happens to be my go to styles. I'm linking  the tee, jewelry and a few alternatives below! I know Seriously Happy Tees would LOVE a visit from you. :)

Green, Pink & Flowers

I realize there's a lot going on in this outfit from the pink statement earrings to the scarf, tights
AND vest. I just couldn't stop. My closet doors were wide open with all the coordinating colors vying for my attention. I obliged them and flounced around throughout the day like a colorful peacock (to quote a sweet friend).

Bohemian Ruffle Top

I couldn't resist wearing this top again. I'm over the moon with how I originally styled it (take a peek HERE), so this just looks okay to me. However, I did enjoy the pops of turquoise and the leopard flats with it. Incidentally, I requested a cupcake that would "match" my outfit of the day and they gave me Pistachio! :)

The Moto Edge

Denim and leather are a classic and I was looking for another way to wear this dressy sweater from WHBM (Originally styled HERE). Excuse the oven burn on my wrist from careless, rushed kitchen work. It was a crazy week filled with caring for sickies. In fact, I went to our couple's "Loveseat" Event by myself. LOL

Cozy Sweater & The Prize!

It is no surprise that I'm eagerly styling this pocket, tunic sweater from Altar'd State again. Only this time, I'm going with camo pants and my favorite hat from chicos. And the jewelry? Well, that is my prize from January's style challenge. The jewelry is handcrafted by a company called Ernesto de Barcelona. After winning the jewelry set I hopped over to the site to see their featured pieces. They have a wonderful boho and earthy feel. The colors are beautiful, the stones smooth and both the earrings and bracelet are comfortable to wear. I love the set!

Want to know what the first place prize was???

Yes! Isn't she gorgeous?? And guess what???? She came straight to my house. It was a little shipping snafu. Was I tempted to open that puppy up and style it for just a day before sending it to the winner?? Of course not. It didn't even cross my mind! In all seriousness, it did come to my home but I sent it right out the next day, without ever opening the box. That was a little crazy, but I "met" a new blogger friend - the winner.

Also, featured in this outfit is the last Wild Oats cupcake, for awhile anyway. They change up featured flavors each month and only brought back Wild Oats because of a silly campaign I did back in January. I love how they like to play along with my goofy ideas. Missed the campaign? Click HERE for extra silliness.

  3. How awesome, Chrissy! You always look amazing! How can I pick a favorite?! Though, I admit to being super in love with that black floral/ruffled tunic of yours! (That I would totally turn into a dress!) Love it! And you look fabulous in that plum ruffled sweater from WHBM! Definitely one of your colors. I loved it when that was their color line! Congrats on the win! The jewelry is gorgeous! Something about that very natural, earthy look that is so appealing!
