Bavaro's Restaurant: Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria

Bravo Bavaros. Indeed. You welcomed local influencers, food critics and friends to get a taste of not only your authentic Italian fare, but of your inviting space, your history and your hospitality.

Thank you for joining me today my sweet readers on a quick review of this fabulous restuaurant!

When the anticipated evening arrived, a couple of friends helped me prepare! While one deftly curled my hair, the other applied make up. There was little time to spare, so I threw on my jumpsuit and flew out the door. Like Cinderella (minus all the glam), I was gracefully running through the parking lot to make it on time.

With moments to spare, I joined the group entering the building, but not before taking in the outside deck. A gorgeous stone fireplace and vintage art work complimented the historically restored building. As I walked inside I repeated my observations by quickly scanning the bottom floor. A chalkboard stated "Welcome Influencers" and a charming staircase with a gorgeous chandelier beckoned us to our seats for the evening.

We were ready, anticipation already served...

I sat down beside a few new faces, as well as one familiar face, and began the imperfect art of small talk. However, it wasn't long before the owner kicked off the evening.  Dan Bavaro, shared how a dream that began in his grandmother's kitchen continues to live on in each dish they would serve! Then came the food!

Like Belle in Beauty in the Beast (living in Florida is getting to me), I was enraptured as each dish seem to appear at our tables. The napkins weren't dancing and the dishes weren't singing, but they might as well have been. I won't weigh you down with every detail of the evening but I'm thrilled to share that there wasn't a dish I didn't enjoy.

Here's a snapshot of pictures to tempt you.

My local friends and those planning to visit this lovely town, you won't regret a night out at Bavaro's. Also, there's a location in downtown Tampa, St. Petersburg, and the Tampa International Airport!

Appetizers
Avocado Bruschetta, Antipasto Italiano, Verde Salad

I could have eaten the whole tray of these!

The amazingness you see pictured below is all imported from Italy. The queen of charcuterie boards here!

Sweet Kim from Eclipse Agency, she's amazing!

Pizzas: Margherita, Burratta, Tre-Carne

Pizzas are baked in hand-crafted, wood-fired brick ovens with top-of-the-line ingredients! For me that translates to a light, crispy crust and a delicious sauce.

Pasta & Entree
Penne Alla Vodka, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Bistecca

The sauce on this penne was creamy, delicious and flavorful enough to haunt me in my dreams. I'm coming back for you Penne Alla Vodka!

Penne Alla Vodka

Tagliatelle Bolognese
This pasta is made in house.

Bistecca

My prince is going to LOVE this dish of charbroiled New York Strip with roasted potatoes. However, I'm sure I'll delight in eating the arugula and cherry tomatoes while stealing a slice of steak when he is unaware.
Dessert!
There will be dessert as well??
Suzy.Goes - a new and sweet face
Tiramisu, Cannoli, Nutella Pizza
The tiramisu is as it should be...true marscapone cheese, rich espresso and light cake. I'm a tiramisu fan and need another bite of this.

Cannoli

Nutella Pizza
Creative, Sweet & Kid-Of-All-Ages approved...
And as if our contented belly's, upturned lips and happy hearts weren't enough we were sent home with a jar of their specialty sauce and gift cards to return. Next time I'll bring my prince. Thank you Bavaro's and welcome to Sarasota.
Good night! We all head back down the stairs and linger for just awhile...

  10. Kindly fill me in as to whether you're searching for an article essayist for your site. You have some truly extraordinary posts and I feel I would be a decent resource. On the off chance that you ever need to take a percentage of the heap off, I'd totally love to compose some material for your web journal in return for a connection back to mine. It would be ideal if you send me an email if intrigued. Much obliged to you! e gift cards restaurants
