Three Reasons I Now Use Crunchi Makeup

What is a girl with uneven skin texture and no makeup talents whatsoever doing as an advocate for a makeup company? Well, I've asked myself that many times and I've always said I wouldn't feature makeup. I didn't think I could do it justice. Now enough with that, right? I'm not creating artistic eye looks but I wear makeup regularly. So there's my first answer. As for the second, I have found a company that is clean and performs well.

That being said, welcome to today's special beauty edition with Crunchi and the three main reasons why I invested!

1. Banished Ingredient List

Over the years there's been a consistent thread of concern amongst environmental groups, health advocates, and more when it comes to self-care products. Why aren't self-care and beauty products regulated in the US? The list of potentially harmful ingredients continues to grow longer.  I've used eye shadows that caused irritation and styes. Why? Are my eyes too sensitive or is there something in the product that shouldn't be in there?

Crunchi has a long list of banished ingredients that I'm more than happy to eradicate from my daily routine. Hop over HERE if you want to check those ingredients out!

Also, the Environmental Working Group website is a wonderful resource to see what ingredients your current beauty products contain. EWG rates products based on their toxicity level on a scale of one to ten, one being the best and ten being the worst. You can search your favorite brand of mascara, lipstick, etc, and see how clean it really is. I was surprised by some of the brands that claim to be natural but were actually in the red!

2. Performance

The hunt for a clean beauty foundation that performed well was difficult for me, particularly with foundation. Back at the start of the year, I mentioned this to a friend and that led me to a sample of Crunchi's foundation and primer. It seemed like a sad amount to effectively test it out, but I was pleasantly surprised at how little I needed for the coverage I desired.  It smelled good, applied well, especially when combined with the primer and it lasted all day.

3. Eco-Friendly
Crunchi's packaging is plant-based or glass, making a far less impact on the environment! It also glammed up my makeup drawer.

Current Favorites

While the nation was shutdown, Crunchi offered an amazing package deal to become an advocate. So I decided to invest with the intent of treating this like any brand collaboration I do. This means I will highlight favorites on the blog or Instagram and if you purchase from my site, I'll make a small commission. Each month I'll highlight some favorites because I took advantage of

I already mentioned the foundation and the primer, but allow me to add their sunscreen to the list!
Each morning after I wash my face, I mix my moisturizer with the Crunchi Sunscreen, especially if I'm in a hurry. The sunscreen has zinc and takes slightly longer to absorb. On the bright side, this sunscreen also contains aloe, jojoba, sesame seed oil, tamanu, and more! In addition, the sunscreen was listed in Fab Fit Fun's top 18 "Innovative Sunscreens to Try"!
Lip Gloss
I'm adding lip gloss as the final highlight today because I didn't expect to love it. I find most lip glosses to be sticky and they wear off in what seems like 10 minutes. Well, I use this lip gloss almost daily. It smells wonderful, applies beautifully, and makes my lips feel moisturized and soft!

I am careful about what shampoo, deodorant, nail polish, beauty regimen, and even the sanitary products I used. Why should I have to compromise when it comes to makeup? What about you? Do you use clean beauty? If so, what's your favorite brand and product?

YOu're naturally so beautiful and with a great line that you love and performs, this will enhance you even more! I'm always testing new stuff- I gotta learn more about this brand:) xx
