Corduroy, Wine Colored Boots & Link Up

Happy New Year my friends! Sometimes I feel like 2020 was the longest year ever and then other times I feel like it didn't exist! November and December days flew by filled with preparations, traditions, and travel. Thankfully I was able to squeeze in a few lazy days as well, drinking up fiction novels like the library was running out of books. I hope you had a favorable end of the year, no matter your circumstances!

Also, did you receive a few goodies from Christmas, and if so, did you get any fashion pieces? I picked up an item or two on sale and was gifted some earrings, and a set of bracelets that I'll share soon. In the meantime, I'm sharing a couple of closet-shopped looks that I wore over break.

Wine Colored Boots

Once I had received the Divina boots by Enjoiya I made a point to see how many ways I could style them. I own a pair of wine colored, velvet heels but nothing in a casual option. Ironically, here I am styling them with a dress! I'm sure I don't have to tell you that they're far more comfortable than the heels!

The dress and jacket are from Caite & Kyla, but their pieces won't be back on the site until next week! I eagerly await their upcoming spring line.

Corduroy Pants Faves

I love the tie dye top featured in this outfit, not only for it's trendy look, but also for the way it fits. The handkerchief hem is glattering to any body time. There's no need to tuck, though possible if you choose to do so. As for the pull-on pants (yes, I said pull-on), they are fabulously comfortable and have been perfect for my fluctuating winter weight.

The National Infantry Museum

Over the break, I visited my sister in Columbus, Georgia where we had the opportunity to tour the National Infantry Museum. The tour begins with a walk through model of various battles. From there you can tour separate wings highlighting each phase of our country's history and of course how our military played a part in it. There was even a traveling exhibit with carvings of various military dogs that played heroic roles throughout the years. I highly recommend touring. It's right off the army base so there's no need for a visitor pass. There's no fee to enter but donations are welcome.

Once again, I hope your New Year is off to a fabulous start. I'm currently at work on goals, priorities and of course where this blog is going for 2021. Do you have any big changes coming up? Thank you for joining and I look forward to seeing you next week!

It's so rich regardless of what item and these pair of boots are no exception. I like how you styled them and I am still swooning over that tie dye top.
