What I Wore: Valentine's Past & Present

Are you in or out this Valentine's Day? Traditionally we host a dinner for friends but since Valentine's falls on a Sunday, we will be otherwise engaged. On Sundays, we work with a small group of college and twenty-somethings so I'm sure there will be a few festivities. However, that means casual it will be! For this reason, I thought it would be fun to share a few dressier looks from past Valentine's. If you're undecided about what to wear, in or out, I hope to inspire you with these closet-shopped looks!

Romantic Lace

I scored this lacy, blush top at Altar'd State on clearance a few years ago and still love it. For an extra romantic effect, I styled with a tulle layering dress. Don't have a tulle layering dress or skirt? I highly recommend keeping an eye out for one that suits you. There are so many styling options to add a little extra whimsy or romance to the day. I've linked a couple I found on Amazon to start off your search.

One Dress Styled Two Ways

This red dress is another Altar'd State Clearance find that is the perfect red. Here I styled it with a leather jacket and then went for a kimono. It's amazing what a small layering change can do for the overall look!

More Lace

This dress from Eva Trends was my first fashion collab! I styled it for Christmas Dinner, Sunday morning church, and of course Valentine's Day. Originally styled HERE and HERE. Looks like I have a thing for boho and/or romantic styles. Do you own a lacy dress?

And Then There Was Blue

I had to throw a pop of my other favorite color. I've worn this heart sweater countless times, but this may be my favorite. The denim, heels, and print mixes are an easy, chic way to style any look.

Inspired yet? What will you be wearing this year for Valentine's Day? In today's fashion world a pair of leggings can look chic and stylish. As long as you feel good in what you're wearing, that's all that matters!

  3. I just love everything in your closet lol! Not sure which is my favorite here: the lace dress is so pretty and I do love the blue sweater outfit too. All winners in my book. I actually have a tulle skirt in my amazon cart but trying to wait till next month to buy it. A little self control here is needed!

  5. I really love all of these V-Day looks! Velvet and lace always makes a good V-Day combo and I love tops with heart shapes... and, that blue/black color is a little unique instead of the traditional red/pink and I love that!
