Blush Tank, White Denim

Hello! The humidity has arrived in Georgia and I'm sure it's here to stay for awhile. For this reason, I've made it a clothing priority to find lightweight, comfy tops. All of mine have disappeared, stained, frayed, pilled, etc, etc.

With that in mind I decided to stop in GAP after a good eyebrow threading at the mall (which I like far better than waxing. Where was my threader Mahtab 10 years ago??).  Sale signs pointed me to their linen display, where button ups, tanks and tees boasted of that light comfort I was searching for. Once I tried on this blush tank, I agreed with the description. The material is light and hangs perfectly.  I liked the color and the lace trim so I went for it.

Already I've paired this top with my green chinos, white denim, blue denim and print capris (soon to be in another post). My only regret is not buying the white tank, as well as the black tank. If you see these on sale, don't make the same mistake I did. Grab them up!

Outfit Breakdown:

Tank: GAP/White Denim: Entourage (Similar)/Sandals: Thrift Store/Necklace: local vendor/Bracelet & Rings: Premier Designs

Also, today we say hello to another graduate! May is behind us and high school is behind her! A big congratulations to my niece Kyra!! She loves Dr. Who, Oddessy of the Mind, Eyeliner and Nail Polish and maybe even the S'mores cupcake pictured below. ;)

We celebrated in her family's new home. Of course there is no celebration without a touch of silliness. My words of wisdom to her were stolen from this mug that my brother handed off to me.

"Be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy."

Ok. I have more for her than that, but there is definite truth to this. How often do we try and do as well as, fill in the blank? We need only to do our own personal best; work at what we are gifted and skilled at. Why is this so hard to remember in the day to day? Words to ponder.

A close up on that tasty cupcake from Splat!

This fun, fabulous lady is Kyra's grandmother. I know. Too young looking to be a grandma. We are kindred spirits in music - she has actually written many of her own songs! I love listening to her sing, which she sweetly obliged with one of her originals!

Well that's all for now! I hope your summer is off to a fabulous start!
