16 Going On...Best Look From Your Teens

For today's fashion adventures I'm featuring a surprise top that came in the mail from a friend and linking up with the Blended Blog for "Best Look From Your Teens"! Like seriously, you're going to love it! Ok, in all honesty my teen years were riddled with fashion challenges. However, I've learned a fashion thing or two about teen fashion from sitting in the bleachers at football games.  I'd watch and be dazzled and amazed by some of the choices that ranged from grunge, sporty, minimal amounts of fabric and of course the trending high waisted jean. I'm happy to say that distressed was among the styles and who doesn't think high school with a top like this? The shirt's arrival is simply providential! Wink, wink!

And how appropriate that these pictures were taken at our local library! So today, I'll be sharing what I'm currently reading as well! Thank you for joining me!

In high school, I passed many of my free hours away with my nose stuck in a fiction book. Today there's few moments OR attention span space for reading but I'm back at it with a suggestion from my friend at JOYINABOOK, a newly created IG account sharing her latest reads. I'm determined to read more! I found two of her suggestions at the library: Sweep by Jonathan Auxier (yes, it's a youth book, but Joy has teens soooo. This is post is on teens right??) and The Weed that Strings A Handman's Bag by Alan Bradley, a mystery - my favorite!

In addition to fun reads, I'm featuring my good old distressed green jeans (Styled HERE as well), that new top and my latest shoe find from Lucky. Also making another appearance is my round purse from Christmas (See it Here and HERE) !  The shoes were a clearance find while shopping for with my MIL last week and I LOVE them. I didn't think I'd find a pair of slide I like, but alas Lucky Brand had them for an addition 60% off the marked price!!  Now isn't that lucky? wink, wink again!

As for this cozy, sweatshirt top I loved the soft texture and cut as soon as I pulled it on! And as you can see in the pictures, it's representing the infamous 23rd Psalm from the Bible. I searched for Zoe Clothing and was not surprised to find that they are a Christian apparel company based out of Los Angeles with a sweet story. See more HERE.
And while we're on a high school wave length, how about those terrible poses??
Biggest of hugs my friends and thank you to my sweet friend Mandy for this shirt, my MIL for these shoes, my sweet boys and partners in blog crime and the Blended Blog for a fun prompt.

  6. I agree with Kellyann, you look like a teen still, Chrissy. And that's a good thing.
I read a ton as a kid. In fact, some summers my mom would limit me to a book a day. Obviously I didn't have many friends...ha ha!!

  7. I always read as a kiddo too. A lot of pictures when I'm in jr. high are of me and a book I'm reading. It's harder now with all the things I have to do but I do love a good book!
