Here poochie! Our dog didn't stand a chance when this month's Simply Earth Essential Oil box arrived in the mail. My boys knew the box was all about the pets and couldn't wait to see what recipes awaited us. Their excitement was infectious, making me feel excited. In fact excitement abounded until I came up with the idea to get Dolly in the pictures. I never worked so hard for so little a result in my life (I may be exaggerating, but seriously)! After ten minutes I was ready to throw in the towel, but Dolly loved every treat she consumed!
Life with pets and/or children is rarely ever boring, is it! Also, look for a code for a $40 shop credit at the end of this post!! Now let's dig into this box. ;)

GAP Midi Wrap Dress & A Few More
Short Sleeve Midi Dress/Hat/Shoes: Old/Purse: Old
Hello! My hubby and I went shopping together this weekend! I told him I'd like to shop for dresses and he volunteered to go. Surprised but happy to oblige, we hopped into our family mobile and headed to the mall. Since I had a $30 credit at the GAP we stopped in there. Success came quickly (thank goodness - he isn't as patient as my MIL), starting off with this short sleeve midi wrap dress. Boy is that a mouthful! My husband liked this one immediately and seemed a tad disappointed that I wanted to try on ALL the ones I pulled of the racks! I'm giggling right now. He didn't understand the concept! And his commentary on the dresses that followed cracked me up.

Happy Earth Day: Beach Clean Up & Networking
This Easter weekend was bustling with activity, but I couldn't resist the temptation to add one more event to the calendar - a Beach Clean Up gathering with Salt Link. Salt Link is a company dedicated to helping local influencers connect and collaborate with each other, so in honor of Earth Day they decided on the beach clean up. Cleaning up is far more fun in groups, so I drove over to Lido Beach and met a new set of faces.

Meadowlark Leggings: Eco-Friendly, Elegant & Comfortable
Hello beautiful, sweet friends reading this post! You being here makes me want to reach through my computer screen and hug you (except for creepy, anonymous dude - I don't want to hug you). Thank you! Alright enough of that! Now if you love leggings, you're in for a treat! You may have seen the Meadowlark Clothing Brand of leggings featured around the blogger block here recently. Well, I'm thrilled to confirm the praises I've read thus far. From a beautiful design to a fit that will make you forget you're wearing pants - these leggings are worth their weight in eco-friendly polyester (keeping with Earth Day coming up)! I've worn a LOT of leggings before and sang their praises, but now I'm singing a new song.

Small Steps To Care For the Planet
With Earth Day coming up, I thought it the perfect time to share my small steps to care for our planet. Our family of 6 produces a lot of garbage and with our busy schedule it's easy to want convenience in everything.
My friends, this will not be an extensive post on the effects of pollution, but rather a brief overview of the small steps I've taken to care for our home and ultimately the earth more. As you may know, I lean towards a natural approach. However, moving to Sarasota during their worst bout of Red Tide in maybe ten years, motivated me to pick back up "cleaner" habits I've neglected.
On the rare occasion I ventured to the beach to see the conditions for myself, I felt depressed. The dead fish lining the shores and floating in the surf made me feel as if I was living in the apocalypse or something. For images go HERE.

Friday Favorites: Good Vibes & Gift Cards
Hey, hey! It's another Friday Favorites coming at ya! As I type, I'm spurred on by all the hopeful contestants on America's Got Talent. I go on these talent show kicks...The Voice, World of Dance, and now AGT. I cry along with the acts that receive affirmation of their talents and hard work. I cringe at the dangerous, death defying acts, giggle at the outlandish, oddities (hey, everyone is equally valuable but some are more comical than others) and I get all out inspired. I can write the best Friday Favorite in the WORLD! Ok, not quite but I love watching or reading things that give me all the "I can do it" fuzzies. So today I'm totally choosing AGT as my first Friday Favorite. Thank you for joining me! (*This post may contain some affiliate links, which sends a bit of change my way but does not affect your price. Thank you so much for your support!)

Buffalo Denim Jacket From Costco For The Win
Also, I noticed that there's one in white available, which I'm seriously tempted to order for myself. This jacket is surprisingly soft and just the right weight for spring and summer air conditioning. As for the rest of my outfit, I was back to shopping my closet - pulling my favorite ripped up green jeans, striped top with fun fringe and these Sam Edelman Nordstrom Rack sale find wedges. I was in a hurry and went for the basics.

Lucky Brand Tees For Spring & Boho Vibes
Hello and a happy hump day to you! Lucky Brand is having an extra 40% off sale online, so what better time to compile the spring tees from my recent shopping trip with my MIL? Though we were content with our GAP finds, a quick duck into the Lucky store turned into a try on party in the changing rooms. There was 50% off their tees, so naturally we were drawn in. Once I slipped on one of their tees a knowing smile formed on my lips - Chrissy found a new favorite store. Though I've featured a few of these items before, I thought a full post was in order because I've loved the tees so much. ;)
Boho Vibes With The White TEE
The first item I tried on one was this white burn out "Venice" v-neck. The softness enveloped me in a warm hug and so I went home with one in white and one in black. These boyfriend jeans were off their sale rack and priced at $25. Sadly, I can't find them online anywhere! However, I'd like to try one of their slim boyfriend cuts. Mine are baggier, making them trickier to style, however it works with those boho vibes that I gravitate to. The rest of my outfit is shopped from my closet!
Paisley All Over Tee
The Back View modeled by my MIL...
All Over Floral Tee
I love the delicate florals on this tee and am glad I followed my MIL's lead on this pick. Crew neck tees are not a favorite of mine, but I've added two so I guess I'm changing things up. Sadly, this tee is excluded from the sale, though it wasn't when we bought it. Who knows, right?
There were several tees that I would have brought home that day, if not for that pesky budget! All good time, right? The red tee with hearts on it is calling my name!
Have you tried Lucky Brand tees before?

A Homeschool Field Trip to SeaWorld Orlando
My, my doesn't the time pass quickly before our unseeing eyes? Back in August I looked over our homeschool field trip schedule and stopped at March's event - SeaWorld for only $29 a ticket! SeaWorld invites students from homeschool, private or public school to come and learn about the mysterious and captivating ocean at a deep discount. I love most theme parks so I added this one to the calendar! Now someone explain how this day already came and went?? If you're planning a trip to Orlando, you may want to add SeaWorld to your itinerary. It's a place I've visited since childhood and our recent trip felt like a walk down memory lane...
