Athletic Wear: Reversible Tank, Sports Bra and Leggings

Hi! Yoga anyone? Now before I misrepresent, allow me to explain that I don't practice yoga on the daily. However, it's my onramp whenever I get stuck in an exercise rut, which I fell into after our move to Florida. I kept saying I'd join a gym, etc but I didn't want it enough to sacrifice quiet mornings for exercise. It's rowdy around my house, but summer has reached new heights! But just the same, here I digging out my yoga mat. I blame it on the dog...

About a month ago, I found the dog chewing on my favorite sports bra by Handful Bras. This bra originally came into my possession while visiting an athletic shoe store for running. Their motto, "flatter, not flatten", lived up to its name, while giving fabulous support! The comfy bra is so durn cute too. All this to say, I wasn't happy to find damage done to my favorite sports bra.

I sent the company a silly Instagram video message in my best Leia from Star Wars voice, explaining my puppy woes and asked for help.

"Help me Handful Bras, You're my Only Hope"

They responded the next day! The sweet rep emailed me and said they would send a bra, along with a little surprise! What?? My day was made!

The Bra & The Surprise
The surprise was this fun reversible tank top! It can scoop in the front or scoop in the back, depending on which side of the bra you'd like to feature. As for the capri leggings, I received those at the same athletic store in Georgia. They are a stretchy high-waisted fit with a good dose of tummy control, which I especially enjoy right now.

The "Flippin' Awesome Tank": Scoop In The Back

Scoop In The Front
The attractive tank snugly sits low on your hips, but has a nice loose fit everywhere else.  It's the perfect start to some updates for my athletic wear. I would say it's complete but I want one more set of each: the legging, the tank and the bra so I can wear one while the other is in the wash!

So should I be thanking the dog for chewing up my bra, which lead to a new tank, which led to me getting back into some movement for a change?  I suppose I should.

As for keeping myself motivated to move, I am considering an online yoga resource that I learned about while visiting Jodie at J's Touch of Style ! Whatever it takes right? What do you do to keep moving and have you tried this fabulous line by Handful Bras?

  8. My poor 61 year old body is aching just looking at incredible, fit YOU in all of those yoga poses. PC and I have started using yoga to being our workouts but our yoga and yours are two different things entirely. And girl, you look fantastic. Darling tank!! Love the soft, rounded draped neckline and the way it stays put at the hips. So feminine and yet functional!! I really like the idea of flatter not flatten...sports bras just squish my girls all up.

    1. Haha, Leslie you made me crack up this morning. Thank you for that. And I have to say that those athletic clothes mask a good bit of rolls going on these days. The tummy control combined with the loose fitted top around the waist...I love it. But you're inspiring me to live up to your kind words!! And yes to the flatter not flatten!
