The Perfect Spring & Summer Plaid

A unexpected package arrived on my doorstep this past weekend. Though I was aware of the potential collaboration, I was surprised to receive the box of stylish goodies before May. Thank you Caite & Kyla for making this momma's day! I giggled as I pulled out each quality piece. And you know what else makes me smile? They are now offering my readers a discount code! This is new so I hope you'll have the opportunity to take advantage of 20% off with CODE: GRANOLANGRACE .

Also, in life lately we celebrated the twin's 11th birthday. They are still childlike and sweet. Caden wants a hamster and now Evan does too. That's NOT fabulous to me, but I appreciate the fact that they won't be childlike much longer. Now to find a pet store that is currently selling hamsters.

As for the teens, they have to catch up on their assignments because it took us longer to get into a groove. My blog posts are down to one post a week. With 5 of us sharing a laptop, I don't sit down in front of the lap top until I'm too tired to write. So thank you for sticking with me!

In current events, I continue to watch interviews, press conferences and read articles from doctors around the country (some in other countries). I had to back off from the political side of things. It's too messy! Instead, with new information coming out almost daily on the virus itself, I want to lean into what I can at least minimally manage - my personal health and the health of my family. This will mean leaning into the "granola" side of things around here. More greens, cutting back on the sugar and processed foods, etc! I'll share more - just as soon as I can reclaim my computer!

Now back to today's post with the first of a few pieces by this unique adventurous clothing company. I'm featuring three looks with subtle changes just for kicks.

Boho Plaid Meets Denim
An old pair of jeans, some red Target shoes and a round purse are easy pieces to pair with this sleeveless top.  The top is a comfy, cotton gauze material with flattering ruching across the top. As for the embroidery,  be still my bohemian heart. This Jess tunic will be on repeat around here!

Plaid Meets Chinos
I pulled out my GAP chinos, an old orange leather purse, a fedora and my latest shoes from Enjoiya. Speaking of those shoes, I continue to wear them on a daily basis. They are easy and comfortable. I also continue to receive compliments on them.

Last One - Back To Jeans
Alright, the last look is a simple change up with jean shorts and a straw bag. Perfect for a picnic, right?

I hope you're doing well and finding peace in the midst of this storm! If you missed last week's post on those fabulous pull on shoes, hop on over here to check it out.

  1. That top is so good on you and I really like the second outfit with the little red crossbody bag, so something I would wear! :) We are doing online learning here too, on a good day I have my son on a call with his kindy teacher on my phone, my other son using a tablet to do his school work, and me using my laptop to work from home. So many screens!

    Thanks for the link up!

Hope you are having a great week :)

  7. Oh, goodness--haha, I was thinking how much I like this top on you, glanced down and realized I'm wearing a blue/white, gauze plaid top with orange purple embroidery! You will get miles and miles of use out of this--I can see it with white flared pants, front tucked into a skirt. Let me just come on over and have some styling fun! Take care, sweet friend! P.S. I've found a commentator that I really like who does daily podcasts who's upbeat, a Christian, sprinkles in politics is a wise fashion...all in all, very positive (no ranting or conspiracy theories). And, best of luck on sharing a computer, my daughter ended up buying a 2nd one b/c she works from home and her kids need one.

  9. What a fun package to get Chrissy! And this top they sent you is stunning. The embroidery is top notch and I am obsessed! Happy 11th birthday to your twins and I hope they had a great day. I can't wait to meet the new addition to your family. I bet he/she will be so cute! My son's school is sending us a lot of homework too. I can't believe at how much time it really takes to get everything done and he is only in kindergarten! Anyway, hang in there and happy Wednesday!

  10. That top is adorable!! And love your 2 pairs of colorful shoes! My 9 year old is having to catch up on his specials work (computer lab, music, art) because we kind of ignored them until I realized he usually gets grades in those classes. Oops!

  12. That top is adorable and I love all the ways you've styled it. Especially with the red espadrilles! Gotta love red shoes, right? Good luck with the hamsters! When my son was about that age, he brought home a rat. We had terriers so much concern was spent over keeping them both separate! Kevin died at a ripe old age, fortunately.
