Flowers For The Hour: Summer Style Continues

Hello, my friends. How are you holding up in all the crazy? My brain is on lockdown and I wish I could sit down with each and every one of you and share thoughts, fears, hopes, and meaningful conversation in person. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm grateful for this space. I'm grateful for styling adventures, pulling colors and trends together. I'm grateful for creative outlets and photography sessions. I'm grateful for hats during this season of bad hair for me here in South Florida. I'm grateful for YOU.

Today's fashion adventures were inspired by my latest top from Lucky. The flutter sleeve is delicate, the flower print says spring and summer, and the blues were right up my color wheel. As for the rest of the outfit, I shopped my closet for neglected accessories, as well as new accessories - hello Luca Love bracelets! Though it was hot, hot, hot I missed wearing jeans so I braved them for the morning. However, it was long before I changed into shorts, which I share at the end of the post.

Emma and I ventured out to a local gelato shop for a treat, as well as a little dairy-free investing for Emma. She's always on the hunt for tasty treats she can eat that won't mess up her system. In fact, be on the lookout for a special feature on "5 Ways To Ease Yourself Into A Dairy-Free Life" by Emma. Also, included in the feature will be more details on the fabulous gelato shop I mentioned.

Until then I hope you enjoy pictures from our mini-adventure at Siesta Key village. The village consists of one short stretch of restaurants, coffee shops, and beach shops with plenty of colorful, visual spots in between.

Stay cool, stay stylish, and keep hunting for reliable, independent news sources, my friends. We're in critical times!  And if you want to exchange thoughts and findings, message me!
The Shorts Switch Up
As I mentioned earlier, I switched out the jeans for shorts and decided to go with a more practical shoe...

  1. Chrissy, these jeans are amazing! I love this whole outfit. It is so cute and something I would totally wear (if I had these cute jeans)! I hear you on the locked down brain business. I feel completely numb inside these days. Nowhere to go, nothing to plan, nothing to look forward to, and now I just feel sort of dead inside. Isn't that awful? I suppose we all just need to hang in there and do our best to get through the days while we hope for better ones. Thanks for always shining your light and positivity in the world and for just keeping it real.

  2. Hey, friend! I didn't see your post up and thought maybe you were on vaca (hence my IG comment). Anyway, my post today is totally a style steal from your buffalo check skirt! I hope you get a minute to check it out!!!

P.S. I've had a headache pretty much every day for a couple of weeks. Ugh and ugh! I am working at writing devotionals for my daughter. I've got several written so far. Hugs!
