Seamless Print Styling: Camo, Snakeskin, Stripes & Leopard

Ponce City Market

Hello! While on an Alaskan adventure of a lifetime with my sister, I had the opportunity to meet Nicole at High Latitude Style! After meeting the unassuming, stylish and sweet Nicole, I've continued to follow along with her blog, appreciating her insightful tips in fashion. I wish we could meet in Alaska again, but for today I'll content myself with the privilege to cohost her weekly link up, Top of the World Style!

Nicole does not fit in a fashion box, boldly mixing prints and colors even before it became trendy to do so! For that reason, I thought I'd feature as many print mixes in my outfit as possible! I hope you will join us in linking up! :)

Blush Tank Returns With Print Capris

Hello! Here I am again with this linen tank from the GAP. I can't say enough about how comfortable it is. And I merely put on these print capris for a change up from my usual green jeans and white denim combos. You see, I continue the work of paring down and simplifying my wardrobe which means that I'm wearing a lot of the same pieces.  However, I did keep a few textured bottoms like these capris, camo, linen joggers etc.

Also, right now as I write this post, I have one bag ready for a Good Will drop off and another bag awaiting my next trip to Clothes Mentor, in hopes to make a dollar or two. Not that I expect much, but I always flinch when I'm told $2 or $3 for a great pair of jeans. However, I haven't figured out the trick to successfully sell on Ebay, considering shipping etc. Anyone have tips they'd like to share?

Until then, the thrift store it is. Did you know some thrift stores allow you to schedule a stylist session? You fill out an online form sharing your sizing, preferences and needs and they will pick out items from their store for you to come in and try on. That is on my list for a blogging variety feature. I'll keep you posted there!

Meanwhile, I continue to put together outfits from what I have combing a lot of old with a little new. These capris come from my line of old LOFT favorites. To keep the outift casual I grabbed my pink converse and added the hat.  Then I went all crazy with the necklaces, layering four different pieces in a pattern of rose gold and then silver. I wore a cami underneath my tank to keep the necklaces from falling in the "the gap" and preventing the embarrassment of "framing".

From there it was easy to pick coordinating bracelets. It's not everyday I have this much fun with what I wear. I'm glad I was able to get a few photos before the craziness of life took over.

Outfit Breakdown:
Tank: GAP/Capris: LOFT (old)/Converse: Nordstrom Rack/Purse: Clarks USA/Jewelry: Premier Designs/Fedora: Khols

Of course some of this craziness included a trip to Splat Cakes bakery where I continue to make good on my Free Cupcake a Day winnings. A new month means more cupcake choices!

Splat Cupcake Adventures Continue...

This time I chose to keep the cupcake and give CHURRO a try! If you follow me on Snapchat (granolaNgrace) or Instagram, then you may have seen my personal cupcake review. If not, let's just say if you like the combination of cinnamon, sugar and butter, you'll love this!

That's all for now my reader friends. Have a fabulous day!! :)

Prints Everywhere

I'm not sure why I kept grabbing for prints once this shirt was picked out, but it was like I couldn't help myself.

Tie-dye Shirt. Snakeskin Shoes. Cross with floral pattern hat. Beautiful print handbag from India. What else do I have in my closet???

Of course after this print party, there was no need to go crazy on the jewelry, so I kept it simple with a long chain necklace and a charm bracelet.

(We may think oil and water don't mix but sometimes, just maybe, we should try.  Differing personalities, like prints, can compliment each other beautifully when mixed well; or used for a greater good. Let's open our circles and see what happens.)

And let's talk about that bag for just a moment. Our women's group was privileged to partner with Rahab's Rope at our spring gathering. Rahab's Rope ministers to women at risk or already forced into the commercial sex trade of India. They provide food, shelter, education and training...and of course hope! Hope for a better life. Hope for healing through God's perfect love.

In addition to work in India, they also work in the United States to spread awareness, not only for what goes on in India, but also for the growing sex trade in our own country!

When I look at my bag, I can't help but wonder about the hands that stitched the pieces together. Whoever she is, I pray she is finding peace, healing and hope.
