Tunic Top & Food for Thought...

Bright sunshine and coated skinny jeans, a beautiful combination. Actually bright sunshine goes great with everything. It illuminates your skins natural glow, infuses us with vitamin D and adds cheer to the soul. Now I know we need that rain from time to time; it helps appreciate that sunshine all the more, while giving us, well, water. ;) Happy Monday, my friends! This is what you get today. And this fun outfit of course.

Print Mixing and My Campaign For the Wild Oats Cupcake

Today's post features a sweater I've owned for awhile but use very little. Why? I don't know. Perhaps it's the fitted style that I seem to steer clear of from day to day.  However, I'm well aware of my propensity to fall into the trap of repeatedly wearing the same style clothing, so I gave myself a push. Not to mention how linking up with so many fine, talented ladies inspires me weekly!  I love it!

3 More Ways to Style a Sweatshirt Dress

What do you do when you stumble upon the most comfortable, cozy top?  Find as many ways to wear it as possible?? Yes! Me too. Then I share it with the blog world to gain fashion wisdom and hopefully inspire someone to pull something back out of their closet for another round. And that's what I'm going for today.

Mer-sea Cozy Scarf & Ultra Violet Color of the Year

Back in August a sweet friend of mine gifted me my first Fab Fit Fun box for my birthday. The box arrived sometime in September and one of my favorite items from the box was this cozy, blush colored scarf by Mer-sea. It is exactly that. Cozy and Soft. However, this is the first time I've styled it! What's wrong with me?

The Coziest Joggers & TBB ASKS: January 2018

Good morning. This morning I thought we would be dropping boys off at school, but unpredictable, freezing temps (this is Georgia) gave my boys another day off at school! I know. Those of you in below freezing are baffled I'm sure. As I type the weather is far more mild than predicted at a chilly 30 degrees. However, the afternoon shows snow, followed by freezing rain. So, thought I was ready for schedule I'll embrace the day in my coziest joggers and share this month's TBB (The Blended Blog) ASKS!

Gorgeous Floral & Wubby Vest

Hello my friends. Remember all those remarks I made about how unseasonably warm it's been in Georgia? Well, scratch that. It's cold (or cold for us with temps in the low 20s). I left my house in these heels and my feet were like, "excuse me?"! But I ignored them, knowing that we'd be indoors shortly. And the top half of me was layered to perfection.

It all began with this gorgeous, print top with a flattering length and comfortable cut from my friend and online boutique owner, Shannon with the Southern Blue by Piphany. I own another in the same style, but in a more neutral grey. (Have a look!) Funny thing, she loved the print so much she purchased one for herself. I told her that if she was going to have the same shirt as me, she would be appearing on the blog as well. (Scroll down for pics of how the lovely Shannon styled hers.)

Have you heard of Piphany clothing? I hadn't before Shannon.

From there I added the wubby vest, which was one of my Christmas gifts. Admittedly, the wubby texture makes me think of duck boots, jeans and a sweatshirt but it's so soft and cozy, I decided to dress her up.  The pants are an old pair of slacks that are almost leggings. What would you call that? Sleggings? Or Peggings?

All that remained were the accessories. I knew I would pull out the matching heels I picked up for $6 at a warehouse. (yes, you see them a lot on the blog.) Then it was a matter of jewelry. I decided to break out of my long necklace streak and instead reach for a statement piece! That's where blanca, some gold fan earrings and then a simple flexible cuff bracelet (only $19!) came in, which is my featured jewelry piece for the day. Why? Simply because it's new.

Outfit Breakdown:
Floral Top: Piphany Clothing (The Southern Blue)/Wubby Vest: Francesca's (Exact)/Black Pants: Old/Shoes: WHBM Warehouse Find (Amazon Option)/Saddlebag Purse: Vince Camuto (Last Year)/Statement Necklace (Blanca)/Flexible Cuff Bracelet (It Girl)/ Leather Jacket: Michael Kors (Most Recent)

***Meet Shannon***

Meet my friend Shannon! She is a sweet, caring, hard working and motivated individual. I am blessed to call her friend and I hope you will check out her Facebook page. You'll love her, as well as the great clothing finds she has to offer!

Well my sweet friends, I hope you're New Year is off to a great, goal oriented start. ;) We are 3 days in!! So far, I'm continuing to drink more water with my new water bottle! Hey, it may be small but I was only drinking about 1 to 2 glasses of water a day!!!! I know!! Terrible! On the bright side it's not hard to improve on that, right?? Wink. Wink.

Much love,

Chrissy

And if you made it this far....This backdrop was suggested by my comedic hubby. ;)

Pile It On or Take One Off

Happy New Year, my friends!! I'm excited for a new day and a new year. If I were to recap 2017 you'd see pictures of outfits, cupcakes, kiddos, adventures in Alaska, more outfits, more cupcakes and good old fashioned silliness.  Perhaps 2018 will look very much the same, but that's the adventure of it. I truly don't know.  However, I do plan on adding more intentionality into my spontaneous lifestyle. I want to be more intentional about how I spend my time, what I'm blogging on and taking better care of my body (returning to some of my granola ways).
