Did you catch last week's post on my three automatic steps to elevate casual style with flare pants and a plaid top? Well, today's feature elevates a muted look with a pop of color. Thankful! As I type this there's a lot of uncertainties out there. Some countries, if they haven't already, are going back on lockdown. Our country, well, suffice it to say it's been an emotional year and we're not finished yet. If I'm honest with myself, I was holding out for relief after elections from the increasing division in society, but if those get drawn out? Only God knows at this point! So it is up to me to continue to rest in His might and capability. Trust, and being thankful for all that I have, which is more than I deserve, is a way to help me with this! 

How long is your thankful list? If I start one today and keep adding until the end of the month how long will it be? This is an exercise I look forward to. I almost didn't make our second girl's trip. With one boy in his senior year of high school and two younger boys, it was a weekend full of priorities. Momma had to be home. Of course, there's no rather place I'd rather be, however I'm thankful it worked out to meet the girls a day and a half later.  In fact, I made it just in time for lunch at Gloria's on the Domain in Austin! Of course, I'll delve into adventure favorites soon enough.  But for today, I'm sharing a few thoughts on friendship and these fun graphic tees - Everything is Bigger In Texas!

Lucky Brand Tees For Spring & Boho Vibes

Hello and a happy hump day to you!  Lucky Brand is having an extra 40% off sale online, so what better time to compile the spring tees from my recent shopping trip with my MIL? Though we were content with our GAP finds, a quick duck into the Lucky store turned into a try on party in the changing rooms. There was 50% off their tees, so naturally we were drawn in. Once I slipped on one of their tees a knowing smile formed on my lips - Chrissy found a new favorite store.  Though I've featured a few of these items before, I thought a full post was in order because I've loved the tees so much. ;)

Boho Vibes With The White TEE

The first item I tried on one was this white burn out "Venice" v-neck.  The softness enveloped me in a warm hug and so I went home with one in white and one in black. These boyfriend jeans were off their sale rack and priced at $25. Sadly, I can't find them online anywhere! However, I'd like to try one of their slim boyfriend cuts. Mine are baggier, making them trickier to style, however it works with those boho vibes that I gravitate to.  The rest of my outfit is shopped from my closet!

This tee looks so pretty on. I love the green, pink and burgundy shades that make it perfect for spring! Don't be fooled by the print, this top is just as soft as the basic white tee!

I love the delicate florals on this tee and am glad I followed my MIL's lead on this pick. Crew neck tees are not a favorite of mine, but I've added two so I guess I'm changing things up. Sadly, this tee is excluded from the sale, though it wasn't when we bought it. Who knows, right?

There were several tees that I would have brought home that day, if not for that pesky budget! All good time, right? The red tee with hearts on it is calling my name!

Flannels, Leggings & Pumpkin Spice: All in a Tee

For the beautiful free-falling-colorful leaves; for the chilly temps, hot cups of cider, bonfires, corn mazes and pumpkin carvings, spookily decorating the front porches, I'll live vicariously through many of you. Meanwhile, I'll dig deep and awaken fall vibes with decorations sprinkled throughout the house and...this fabulous GRAPHIC TEE, a thoughtful surprise in our Nashville swag bag. I'm sporting this tee all around Florida, but the first time I wore it was comically posing in a small pumpkin patch off 12th South with five other women. "Take me to the sea..." That's a quote I can fall in love with. In fact, my family and I anticipated lots of playtime along the shoreline when we discovered that Sarasota would be our new home. However, the red tide algae has plagued the gulf shores of Florida since June. Before moving to Sarasota, I had never heard of red tide.  Well today I'm sharing the little I've learned, taking you along for our most recent adventures around the town, during a not-so-typical homeschool day, and of course sharing a little fashion.

Surprise packages in the mail are positively delightful and when said package is a soft, adorable pink tee one might instantaneously be inspired to pair said tee with a camo skirt. And that my friends is exactly what transpired for me last week.

Ok. Enough of my silliness. In all seriousness, I had no sooner finished lamenting the need for cooler tops when this cutie arrived. What a welcome break from all the junk mail we continue to receive since moving!

I opened the box and smiled at the message from home. Sweet tokens of thoughtfulness - I can learn so much from people like that! Why is it so difficult for me to get packages sent out?? I have items that live in my closet awaiting their destiny in another home...

Hey friends! It's morning and I'm sitting in a hotel lobby at continental breakfast time. We're on our family vacation, but it's much more than that. My eyes are puffy and my face has that swollen look of a fitful sleep. Happy New Year, my friends!! I'm excited for a new day and a new year. If I were to recap 2017 you'd see pictures of outfits, cupcakes, kiddos, adventures in Alaska, more outfits, more cupcakes and good old fashioned silliness.  Perhaps 2018 will look very much the same, but that's the adventure of it. I truly don't know.  However, I do plan on adding more intentionality into my spontaneous lifestyle. I want to be more intentional about how I spend my time, what I'm blogging on and taking better care of my body (returning to some of my granola ways).
