XCVI Mini-Capsule And The New Try at Home Feature

I'm back with my second 5x5 mini-fall capsule, featuring XCVI Clothing! However, that's not all. They recently rolled out a shopping feature that you're going to love! Have you been on the fence about trying their fabulous flare pants or leggings? The thought of comfort mixed with style calls you, but the indecision and uncertainty hold you back? Well, what if I told you that they now have a Try At Home option?

You can order up to 8 pieces, keep them for seven days, send back what you don't love, and only pay for what you kept! As much as I've tried from their online boutique, there are still a few pieces I'm looking forward to testing out.

Pile It On or Take One Off

Happy New Year, my friends!! I'm excited for a new day and a new year. If I were to recap 2017 you'd see pictures of outfits, cupcakes, kiddos, adventures in Alaska, more outfits, more cupcakes and good old fashioned silliness.  Perhaps 2018 will look very much the same, but that's the adventure of it. I truly don't know.  However, I do plan on adding more intentionality into my spontaneous lifestyle. I want to be more intentional about how I spend my time, what I'm blogging on and taking better care of my body (returning to some of my granola ways).

Western Vest Meets Fedora & My First "Piphany" Item

Hello and happy first day of December! My adventures in Illinois AND one of the busiest weeks thus far are now complete. Currently, I'm sipping on my second cup of coffee with my hair going every which way and body protesting movement. You know those days well, don't you? It was a good week though, so no complaints here.

Tulle Layering Dress Returns

Hi! Did your July pass as quickly as mine? There is much I wanted to accomplish this summer, but as the school year begins in less than a week for us here in Georgia, I realize that those 10 songs I wanted to learn on the guitar will have to wait for fall.

I painted and revamped one bedroom (with the help of two friends!), painted and revamped a closet in another bedroom, cleared through a lot of junk in our garage (still more to go), kept the blog alive and tried to squeeze fun in between - we still need to make some memories!

Though I'd like to paint our two bathrooms, two more bedrooms, as well as pay someone to paint the main rooms (even with a small home I need that done licketdy split!) and revamp one wall in my kitchen, time is getting away from me. You see, I'm going to homeschool my twins. This will be my first ever homeschooling experience. In addition, there is a women's event coming up next month that I play a part in and I'm getting my fall work schedule lined up. I guess the house will have to wait!

Looking on the bright side, I still need to dress for each day so that means creativity will continue to thrive somewhere! ;) And this outfit inspiration came from I don't know where. What I do know is that I wanted to make use of this super fun, tulle layering dress.

I wore it to church this past Sunday morning with a blazer and nude heels. No pic opportunity came about, but that afternoon I went for a more casual vibe and had one of my "photographers" with me.

"Mommy, I like helping you and taking pictures for your blog."

It was easy to go from dressy to casual. I didn't bother changing out my jewelry from the morning get up.

I threw on my muscle tee, a hat and switched to my new black gladiator sandals.

Well my friends, I close with thoughts of Splat's new cupcake menu for August. What else is special about August?? It's my birthday month...I'm going to be hitting another milestone this year and I plan on celebrating the whole month long. haha! Anyway, along with this the cupcake adventure lives on! As the winner of a cupcake a day for a full year, I have consumed some, treated my boys, hubby, family members and even surprised some friends with these delicious treats since the month of May. I still have 9 sweet months to go and I plan on using up as many as I can!!

Here's to another month of fun!

One Outfit & Aunt Catfish's On the River

Top:Random Store in Mtns/Boyfriend Jeans:Gap/Shoes:Target

The boys and I had close to two weeks at the beach this year (daddy joined us part way through). The first week we stayed with my family and the second week we were mostly on our own.  In preparation, I packed plenty of clothing options, hats and other acessories. Not sure why. Other than my bathing suit and cutoffs I hardly cared. This outfit was pretty much the only time I made an attempt.

***Aunt Catfish's On The River***

It was Sunday. And for us that means the famous brunch buffet at Aunt Catfish's On the River in Port Orange, FL. It has become a family tradition. This year I woke up all our sleepy heads early, threw on the one and only attempt (complete with roominess and comfort) and we loaded up to get to the restaurant for the early bird special.

Thankfully we waited less than ten minutes, confirming that arriving before 9 was perfect - little to no wait and $3 off per plate. (Rhyming not intentional.)

This is the line for the omelets, pancakes and french toast.  Yeah we still waited in it.

My second trip to the buffet...Southern Egg Stacks (? - a yummy combination of sausage, sweet potato and egg), cheese grits, spiced apples, a bite of fried catfish, sweet roll and something green - parsley salad.

Another well known feature and family favorite...the chocolate fountain

There you have it. Food cash well spent.

Do you have a yearly vacation destination or do you change it up? Regardless, I hope you are enjoying your summer. It always flies by.
