Floral Kimono is Never a No-No & "Local Favorite" Finds a Home

I'm at it again with another shop my closet feature! When I start switching out clothes for the seasons, I find new ways to style last year's summer sales with my more recent fall/winter sales. So today the seasons are joining forces to bring this boho-casual outfit with pieces from all over the place. In addition, I'll be sharing who received one of my "extra" tees from Beats and Breath designs. If you missed where the last tee went, click HERE to catch up! :)

I couldn't wait to wear this kimono from Altar'd State, with a simple tank top and though it's been overcast, it is finally warm enough to pull it off.  Last year's linen tank from GAP is now in a new style and on sale! Click HERE for more options.

Kimonos are not going anywhere it would seem. In fact, I saw them in most of the stores I walked through the other day. Surprisingly, my favorites were at American Eagle! They have some long, gorgeous options for under $30 right now. I linked those below.

Now, once I had the kimono and tank figured out, it was a quick decision to pair them with my favorite jeans from Judy Blue denim, followed by my WHBM shoe find.

I'm happy with how the outfit turned out and always feel at home in boho styles. The kimono trend makes that so easy to pull off. You can pair them with any tee and add instant pizazz to your outfit!

Before I move on, look at what my sweet boy is willing to do to get better shots on an overcast day...!

"Mommy, let me climb up here! It will be better that way!"

Ok, enough about the outfit. Let's get to the graphic tee saga! I really liked the cut and feel of this tee, so it was with a touch of envy that I turned this over to the rightful owner. Wink. Wink.

The "Local Favorite" Tee Finds a Home

Do those cute little headbands give away the sweet friend that did a happy dance when she held up her graphic tee designed by Jen Gainey at Beats and Breath??

I already had this cutie's name rolling around my thoughts, but when I saw this post I felt confident to move forward with my plan. Additionally, wherever I went about town I ran into other people that know her...Splat, at the Gym, at the running store I checked out with my mom! It would seem she knows no stranger.

Angie is kind, upbeat (aka FULL of energy) and all about connecting people. However, as you may have noticed in the picture above, her and her family are relocating to another state. Though I was sad to hear this news, I knew that she would become a local favorite in her new town very soon....

I texted Angie and asked her when she was making a last stop in at Splat bakery, cuz I had a hunch she would be. The rest is history...

Picture taken at Splat - of course. ;)
Her smile says it all!!

Angie, you will be missed in Georgia, but we can't be too selfish. I'm sure there are folks that need some cheer where you are going! ;) Blessings on you and your family and thank you Jen Gainey for providing both the tee and the mini-adventure!!

Alright! Your turn. :) What's your favorite kimono or is there one on your wish list?

Thank you for sharing in on my adventures! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

  2. I love a good kimono. They are such a great layering piece in the warmer months. You definitely have a good one here! I have a couple floral ones on my wishlist, although a white lacey one is always a good beach coverup!

    1. Awww, thanks Kellyann! We had fun taking these pictures, as we had some time for the boys to goof off and do their own thing. The older they get the more ADD and rough and tumble they are getting! Lord, help me! lol.
