Wild Print Mixing & Red Bow Shoes

Hello! As I type, Fraser plays on the television while my husband and eldest bellow back and forth about last Friday night's HS football game. In the midst of their clamor my youngest two clamor to chime in. My middle son joins them, ice cream bowl in hand. Of course all this brings the dog from her slumbering couch nap in hopes of a quick game of tug-o-war, or maybe even a dropped snack. It's a typical evening around.

Though we thought we'd be hunkering down from torrential rains and angry winds, hurricane Dorian went in another direction. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bahamas, as thousands are not enjoying a "normal" evening at home. (I'm adding the RedCross link HERE to donate because sometimes I desire to help and just don't know how!)

Aside from hurricane ups and downs, we are in homeschool full swing. How quickly our schedule fills up, challenging my efforts to look put together, never mind get pictures!  However, when I threw this hurricane of prints together I pestered my hubby to take some shots before the sunset.

Keeping the outfit simple, yet-oh-so-comfy jeans and a nude clutch I felt ready to head out for a mini-date to get ice cream! I love how the red popped in this Sam's club top and Target bow shoes. The leopard print cardigan was a thrift store find from last fall. I guess it's time to go thrifting again!

Before I close today, I wanted to tell you about a link up that I'm so excited about. It's been in the works since the spring and now we're finally going live with it! Next week, please join my self and 5 others in a fashion and beauty link up with The Style 6!

  10. You doll. Thank you for thinking of those in harm's way of Dorian and for including the Red Cross link. They do such important work. Glad you are safe and sound. Praying for the Bahamas and our whole east coast.

Now to your outfit. Just looking at the pics, I thought your top had animal print sleeves. But then I read that you added that great thrift cardi over that adorable top. I love pattern mixing these days. Grew up at a time when we poo-pooed pattern mixing. Silly us...we were so rigid!! Just love this look and the bow sandals are the cherry on top.

  11. I am so happy to hear that Hurricane Dorian changed directions. I am sad about the devastation in the Bahamas. I love the unique print of your blouse. The red really takes command and I just love how bold it is. Those wedges are pretty cute too. I have been searching for a red pair of shoes, could this be the one?! I am so excited for your new link up! I'll definitely mark my calendar! Happy Friday and wishing you and your family a fabulous weekend!

  27. Its spring and you've been looking forward to getting outdoors and using your new running shoes. Haven't you? Unfortunately, early spring weather can be pretty rough on running shoes. Though the water and mud, created by a spring thaw, can age shoes dramatically, a few simple steps may help to keep them looking, if not brand new, than certainly their best. Giày jordan 1 rep 1:1
