Friday Favorites: The Best Socks, Vitamin C & More

I'm so happy to feature a Friday Favorites! I want to share some things that make me feel happy and I hope they help you think about those things that make you feel happy!  So are you ready for some before COVID-19 Favorites and AFTER COVID-19 favorites? In other words, there's moments I share what happened before we were told to stay home.

Forgotten Outfit
This was an outfit that we snapped quick pictures of and I completely forgot about. How could I forget about the pineapple shirt?? The pineapples make me smile and the pants, which I've shared before, are so comfortable.  As for that Starbuck's treat, my eldest is going through withdrawals since they temporarily closed down. Even when he wasn't working he'd run up to the store for a caramel chip Frappuccino.

My Absolute Favorite Socks
These socks are small but mighty. I can wear them with my Vans, booties and sneaker wedges and they stay put. They are seamless and whisk away moisture, something I fully appreciate in Hot Florida. I also have some of the no-show varieties, which I have to wear with my running shoes or I'll get blisters.

I've shared these socks on the blog before and because of that Feetures sent me a few pairs with various colors and cushion.
The Rodeo
Our realtor generously gave his clients tickets to the rodeo here in Arcadia, Florida. Arcadia is a SMALL town. One of the first things I saw driving in, was an enormous cowboy mural painted on the side of a building. We weren't in Sarasota anymore! With only the younger boys in tow we knew that there would be far more awe than possible boredom. We were right. They loved it and so did I!

Giveaway Win on Instagram
Do you enter giveaways on Instagram? Jill at Doused in Pink recently hosted a giveaway for a $75 gift card Ana Luisa Jewelry and I won! Yay. I couldn't wait to dig into my box when it arrived, but was disappointed to find that I ordered the wrong size! After an Instagram poll, trying it on different fingers I finally decided to call the company and chat with them. They were so helpful and even suggested that I exchange the ring. So here's pictures of my size 4. Sadly, they are out of my size in this ring but that just means I get to go shopping again!

Blog Feature for XCVI
XCVI is interviewing their ambassadors one by one and mine came out on their Blog Page last month.  I know we all want our work to be well received, so little affirmations along the way can be so encouraging! Thank you XCVI.

Around the Home!

Vitamin C by NutriBiotic
I keep reading about how important this vitamin is for combating any sickness so I went for the big guns...NutriBiotic in 1000mg! Some say add Zinc and Vitamin D as well. What do you think?

Productivity
I want to be accomplishing tasks all around the home, but having all four boys is something I have to adjust to. The truth is distraction seems to be my MO these days. I created this simple graphic for Instagram stories to help me hone in on some productive things to do at home. So far I've completed one of them! Distraction be gone!
The junk drawer is cleaned and organized!!!

My Favorite Quote
I'm listening to daily updates and watching youtube videos. Is this good or bad? I don't know. And "I don't know" seems to be the current consensus for even the experts. Or maybe it's always that way?
Sometimes I get sidetrack and listen to interviews of people I admire. In one particular interview on the Ben Shapiro Show, Ravi Zacharias, a well known Christian apologist, who teaches on theology and doctrine of the Bible, made a remark that settled my heart on what should we do? Here it is...
Dog Moments
My dog is getting walked like never before these days so when my friend sent me this meme, I had to laugh...
Alright, I hope you are hanging in there! I remind myself continually that ultimately this is out of my control. But it's not out of God's control. Praying for HIS peace and healing across our nation and the across the globe.
John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!"
On the blog this week...

  8. I would love to go to a rodeo! So much fun! Also, I may need to look into those socks. I usually find below ankle socks slip off and that annoys me (some sensory issues over here). Congrats on winning the GC, what a lovely little surprise in this season of life. Keep healthy and strong.
