Head to Toe Accessories, Starting With the Shoes

Snakeskin Shoes
Hello and welcome back to another Style Six Wednesday! I hope you enjoy accessories because today is all about the accessories from head to toe. However, instead of starting from the head and working our way down, we're going to start with the main feature of today's post: the shoes! Not a bad place to start! In fact, a fellow blogger (J's Everyday Style) once shared a style tip to begin your outfit with the shoes. This works for me most times, but honestly, it starts with the pants for me. Do I want stretchy or fitted - ha! Of course, in today's case, the shoes dictated the style.
As I mentioned above, the accessories are the main deal.  The rest of the outfit is shopped from my closet. Also, some links contain affiliate links, which I may make a small commission from. This adds no additional cost to you. Thank you for your wonderful support!

The Francine

These tuxedo shoes c/o Secret Celebrity are a fabulous addition to my closet. The python print is trending and the neutral color will contribute to a multitude of style options.  As for the fit, I thought the 8 was going to be too big (I'm between a 7.5 and an 8), but not after a few hours of wear. My feet swelled by midday and the 7.5 would be too narrow around my toes. Also, I personally like the stretch material across the top of the shoe.

Simply put, these shoes are versatile for day to night, just about any season, and the perfect addition to anyone's closet! I'll be sharing more about this company, these shoes and another pair of shoes on the blog soon. Until then, here's a discount code for 20% off: Rowden20.

***Style Tip***

When I add a new pair of shoes to my closet, I take a few minutes to hold them up to my pants, dresses, and a few tops that look like they may be a fit.  You'll be surprised how many options pop into your mind by doing that. Though I decided to stay neutral with my colors, I saw that my lavender palazzo pants and my olive green skinnies are contenders for the next ensemble. ;)

Bracelets
Since I began collaborating with Luca Love Bracelets over the summer, I've worn their bracelets non-stop. So when they featured a B1G1 sale last week, I couldn't resist making my own purchase! Meet the simple, elegant Pearl Stacker and the Johnny Cross bracelet. They just released their fall line and of course, now I want something from that as well.

Style Tip:
Not that I concern myself over this much, but I learned a good rule of thumb for bracelet stacking is to measure the width of your "arm party" with your hand. When you cover your bracelet stack with your hand, all should fit underneath. Again, it's a rule of thumb that I may or may not follow. ;) Who needs more rules these days?

That Hat!

I saw this hat originally styled on our very own Andrea Nine.  It's been sitting in my Amazon cart since last winter! I don't know why I waited so long. Especially considering it's only $22. The dark camel is perfect for fall and the fit is surprisingly good. Although the brim was slightly bent on arrival, I was able to get it right back into shape.

Hat

I hope you enjoyed today's accessory throw together. Accessories are a simple way to add interest and (YOUR) personality to any outfit. And like anything else, with a little practice, it becomes second nature to throw it all together. :) Have a wonderful week and thank you again for your support, comments, and blog friendship. It means the world to me!

  2. Great outfit Chrissy - I love your new shoes. J's Everyday Fashion was the very first blog I ever read - it's what got me started on this whole thing. Many days I have to start with the shoes when I am deciding what to wear - mostly because of my foot issues. Glad you got that hat, you'll wear it soooooo much!

  10. So timely Chrissy!
I actually styled my snake print boots that I just posted by shoes up.
I normally start head to toe but the boots were the main focal point.
Just like when I'm designing a room.
What is the main focal point?

    Hugs my friend!
