What I Wore: Layering Dresses For More Looks

spring layering
Last week was all about the Pantone colors for spring: Ultimate Grey & Illuminating. This week we get to play with style creations through layering. It means more options, more ways to wear, and more bang for your buck.  Today'ss featured dress is another Caite & Kyla addition from the fall (spring styles are on their way!). Of course, we can layer our dresses with outer pieces, but why not make more looks by layering tanks, tees, sweaters, sweatshirts? Of course, this isn't a new concept by any means. However, I hope to inspire you with more possibilities!

Also, this is a fun way to recreate a dress for Easter! Ok, let's get to it.

Sweatshirt Top & Belt

With matching off-white and navy accents, this sweatshirt was a perfect fit for this dress. I also liked the sporty look paired with the feminine flowy floral. Fashion is such a wonderful way to express your unique personality. Like anything else, we inspire and learn from each other but don't be afraid to get creative with layering or accessories. Love the clothes you own and wear them proudly on repeat. When a new piece is added to your closet, you'll be ready to quickly maximize the options!

Add a Blazer & Hat For Fun

It was mildly cool over the weekend so I added the blazer and of course, I needed the hat!

Alright beauties, I hope you feel comfortable in the shoes you're wearing and enjoying the fashion adventures that await you daily. Staying home a lot? Paint your nails and add some accessories. Even if you're in loungewear this will elevate your day! ;)

  4. You layer so well Chrissy! I never think to add a sweatshirt and belt but you look amazing! Adding the blazer works well too - such a fun way to take a dress in a totally different direction!

  6. That's a beautiful dress and you layer it so well! I like kimonos and knits and tees over my dresses but I've never tried a blazer before, I really should! It would be a good way to get some wear for my neglected blazers since we started working from home, haha!

Thanks for the link up :)

Hope you are having a good week :) The rain has finally stopped here which is great, luckily we didn't have any flooding here.

  7. That blazer is such a great idea and it goes lovely with that dress. I really need to try the blazer and dress combo soon! You need to be a model for Caite & Kyla, you always style their pieces so well and come up with out of the box ideas! Love that pink/mauve tee with the dress, too!
