What I Wore: Influencer Event at Buff City Soaps

There's a lot of ways we can support our local community, whether we're into blogging and social media or not. However, one of my favorite ways as an influencer is to attend special events for new businesses coming in on the scene. That's why I didn't hesitate to accept an exclusive invite to Buff City Soaps Sarasota's Soap Event. I hadn't even heard of them, but I wasn't concerned. I saw "plant-based homemade daily soaps" and I was in.
Also, some new shoes from Secret Celebrity arrived hours before the event so I ended up styling my entire outfit around them. This post is just a sneak peek, but spoiler alert: I love them!

Buff City Soaps

Of course, there were bath bombs and bars of "delightfully-scented" and handmade daily soaps, but there were also shower oils, foaming hand wash, body whip, laundry soap, and even dryer balls. Their mission is to "create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant-based goodness".

I think I smell-tested every bar of soap they had...

We made soap bombs, mixed our own laundry detergent, scented our own dryer balls, and even went on a "fragrance" scavenger hunt to see if we could guess what which scent was on our individual sample.

Swag Bag Fun

Swag bags are always a favorite and they generously supplied us with goodies from around their store. In fact, my living area is a fragrant paradise right now. As you find pictured below, they sent us home with plenty of bath bombs, soap whip, body butter, a shower fizzy, a bar of soap, laundry soap, and even a dryer ball!

Fashion

As for the outfit, it came together last minute, but not the way I thought. I tried on three pairs of jeans before I settled on the white cropped pants from XCVI. Jeans go with everything, however, the shade, cut etc wasn't working. Anyway, I look forward to sharing more photos of this ensemble, as well as those comfy shoes! Without trying, I represented my three favorite small business brands: Caite & Kyla, XCVI, and Secret Celebrity Shoes!

Alright, This Thursday the 29th begins their grand opening celebration that lasts all weekend. There will be giveaways, discounts and I'm sure a hive of entertaining activity. Would you believe that I'm tempted to go?? Maybe I'll even talk one of my boys into it.  And if you're not in the area, see if there's a Buff City Soaps nearby. I recommend checking it out and even considering a group party. It's relaxing, entertaining and of course, smells wonderful.
