What I Wore: High Waisted Dreams from WHBM

I've stayed away from the high-waisted jeans trend, that is until now. I swore them off, though I should know better to swear off anything until I've tried it. However, when WHBM reached out to collaborate, I saw this pair of lightly distressed high-rise denim I had to try them. And I'm happy to report they fit like a dream. Today I styled them two ways, bringing back last week's top!

What makes these jeans special is the stretchy material that WHBM does so well. Instead of feeling compacted, I feel supported. In both looks I feature a half tuck, though I have worn a shirt completely tucked in. I'm surprised to say that I liked that as well.

Look One: Lace-Up Tee

The tee I chose to pair with my high-rise denim of dreams is the lace-up tee c/o WHBM. The lace-up adds design interest, not to mention it's soft and wears well throughout the day. An extra bonus, is the color is perfect for fall. Also, I think that white-washed denim looks fabulous with olive green or taupe. Finishing off this look was easy. Add coordinating shoes and accessories and you're ready to go! How many times have I featured the Dove bag from Caite & Kyla? I've lost track.

FUN FACT: I did not intentionally match my outfit to this mural. I was taking one of my boys for a hair cut and on our way in he pointed out the colors. He also snapped the photos for me.

Jet Setter Tee

One day later I galavanted around town in the same jeans but switched out the top and accessories. A good pair of denim is worth their weight and cotton, right? I'd say these are worth trying on my friends. You won't regret the soft, stretchy feel! As for the top, it does not wrinkle when wearing. I wore it all day, in the hot, humid weather and then went out to eat. What? Somehow I still smelled fresh! Check out the other colors and prints HERE

As for the white sandals, they are still unavailable but I'll link them as soon as they are. :)

Bracelets With A Purpose

This bracelet stack is purely from Mudlove, a brand I recently found via Instagram. They make the most amazing clay mugs, but of course they make jewelry as well. Every purchase provides safe, clean water for one week to a person in need. Of all the conveniences I have, running, filtered water is my favorite. I can't imagine having to hike for hours and still come home with dirty water. You won't regret checking out their site HERE for goodies for you or for a loved one.

My evening out buddies!
