What I Wore: National Leggings Day With WHBM

Happy National Leggings Day! I know. There's a day for everything now. We are even celebrating an item that seems to have changed how we look at fashion. I remember a YouTube video called "Active Wear" making fun of how we took gym clothes and made them into everyday clothes. But it didn't stop there, did it? Now we dress them up! We wear them with sneaks, flats, heels, and boots. Oh, I love a good chunky sweater (or shacket nowadays) and some cute boots! Well, Florida is not ready for chunky sweaters so today's feature is a pair of faux leather leggings c/o WHBM styled for day and night.

Also, I have another life update to share at the end of the post. Missed Friday's post? You can catch up right HERE

Leggings - Business Casual

To bring my outfit to work (wink wink) I paired these leggings with WHBM's latest button-up top. I love the length and fit of this shirt. There's stretch and with the trending vest styles, this shirt would look fabulous layered under a vest, amongst other things. By the way, all of their leggings are currently on sale.

These WHBM leggings are thick enough to be officially pants and are so comfortable. The high waist keeps everything just where I want it! As for the shoes and accessories, I happily shopped my closet for items to compliment.

Add a Blazer

To make this outfit look more official, I added the Herringbone Knit Blazer, another gorgeous piece from the fall/winter WHBM line. This post is a blazer teazer because you must see how cute the back is. I'll share more in another post, but of course, you can go get the spoiler on their site

Now For The Night

To style this look for an evening out, all I did was switch out my shoes and my bag. Easy peasy. There's so much fun to be had in fashion. I hope you feel good in the clothes you are in today, no matter the style!

*Life Update*

It is with an excited, somewhat nervous heart that I share this news here. The more I vocalize or text it, the stranger it sounds.  I’m going to work outside the home for the first time in over 20 years. I know. So many have experienced this. I was content where I was but as we discussed what school may look like in the next year or two we considered this possibility. Then that same weekend, I was approached about a job opportunity. The description suited me so well. I went up to the interview thinking, “there are too many pieces to get together“ and “it’s too soon”. Well, the pieces came together and I’m trusting God with the rest.

Twenty years ago, about this same week, I walked away from my “traditional“ job to get married and then leave for ministry in Honduras.  We learned a lot out there, including some Spanish of course. We’ve been back in the states for years and our family is now a family of six. I share this because I will have to occasionally dust off my Spanish skills for this next endeavor. Isn’t life interesting? I’ll be sharing more as I’ll still be around. There are more adventures to be had, more to learn, more to give and I look forward to living out this journey with you! May I, and you, bloom in grace.
