How To Make Dinners Easy With Blue Ribbon Foods

blue ribbon foods

How convenient would it be if when you planned your menu for the week, you already knew you had a freezer full of choices? And to sweeten the deal, what if those choices were all-natural, farm-to-table produce, meats, and more? Since hitting the reset button on our family diet, my biggest dilemma has been quality meat choices that are affordable. So when the opportunity arose to review Blue Ribbon Foods and services I jumped on board. Read on for an inside peek!

What I Wore: Print Mixing With One-Of-A-Kind Prints

print mixing
One print, two print, three print, four. Anything goes nowadays, right? This especially applies when you take subtle pops in your shirt sleeves or animal prints on shoes or purses. I've mixed stripes with floral, camo with floral or stripes, leopard with floral, and the list goes on. However, this is the first time I've mixed a one-of-a-kind print with a one-of-kind print. And it's all because of an Instagram challenge mixed with a busy schedule.

This outfit began with a closet shopped venture into neglected capri pants, tops, and a last year's wedge sandals in the morning. I wish I had time to snap a photo of but I forgot in the morning rush. Later that evening, I was due back up to church for our college and 20 something's small group. And yes, Im that personality that dresses according to the vibe of where I'm going. I stay within my realm, but I wasn't feeling the sandals for the college group.

I swapped out the wedges for the white tennis shoes and then remembered the print mixing style challenging I'd yet to get pictures for. After a quick glance around the room, I spotted a print scarf with the same colors as the top I was wearing. Why not pair them together? I threw the scarf around my shoulders. Oh heck no. I tied it around my waist. Hmmm. The tassels hung perfectly at my hip and somehow the two prints blended.

I grabbed my well-worn chambray blazer, my latest navy purse and was out the door. Feedback from the young ones is always appreciated!

"That's a scarf? I thought that was a part of your top!"
"Love the white sneakers, Chrissy"
Today's featured scarf is on sale for $20! Couple that with the 20% off discount code and you've snagged a unique find for a fabulous price! CODE: Love Kyla Scarf

Love Kyla Shirt Options Options (limited sizing) : Sharkbite / / Love Kyla Notch Neck / / Love Kyla Tassel Tunic

Style Takeaway

  • As always, try something you haven't tried before.
  • Two different prints in the same colors just might work if worn in just the right place.
  • When mixing prints, I opt to keep the accessories neutral or subtle.
  • A blazer styled with sneakers makes for a cool, calm, and collected vibe.
  • A hip sack makes for a convenient, hands-free experience while adding balance to certain outfits.

What I Wore: More Pantone Colors 2021

spring 2021

Earlier this year there was a lot of talk about the Pantone colors "illuminating" and "ultimate grey" for the 2021 spring and summer season. In fact, I jumped on board and threw a post together HERE. However, since then I paid little attention as to whether or not my colors were trending. That is until today when I unknowingly hopped back on board with this Caite tunic top*, sent from Caite & Kyla. But of course, they would be ready with what's current without sacrificing individuality in their timeless pieces.

Artistically threaded throughout the gorgeous embroidery are two more of the Pantone colors, "marigold" and "rust", which are happily settled on their "buttercream" backdrop. This top* happened to pair with my comfy pull-on sneaks c/o Enjoiya. And finally to finish off this outfit is the neutral complimenting color of navy that I live by.

What I Wore: The Best Dressed Face

clean skin care
Some days I put extra thought into what I wear and some I don't. Can you relate? How about the face? How much thought goes into your skincare or make-up? For many women, I'd wager a lot based on the fact that the beauty industry is a multi-billion dollar industry! Whether it be with a skincare regime plus make-up or just a regimen, we are dressing our face up one way or the other. And I'd like to have "the best-dressed face", which I'd say is the healthiest our personal skin can be.

Though I believe that healthy, glowing skin begins with whole foods, plenty of hydration, and the right supplements where needed, it's nice to have some extra help. And by help, I mean wild-crafted, chemical-free goodness that is going to not only build up your skin but contribute to your overall wellbeing. How is it that I used to look at my body in parts when it functions as a whole? When one part of the system is out of whack it affects the overall function. It all comes down to cells, but that's as far into science that I'd like to delve for one post. Ha!

If you've followed this blog for a while then you may have seen posts on essential oils, clean deodorant, and clean makeup. Well, today I am elated to introduce my latest love in beauty...MIG, aka, Might In Good.

What I Wore: Prints & Matching Accessories

spring fashion 2021

What do you do when you can't get enough of a fashion piece? You wear it again and again, and when possible get creative on how you style it! In fact, a few weeks ago I shared a post on layering dresses, and last week I shared this very dress HERE. And without intending to share more layering inspiration, I'm back once again. Perhaps it's because I know any day the oppressive heat will return to South Florida, leaving all traces of layering behind.

So layer on and let's begin with the new spring dress c/o Love Kyla, layered with the soft sweater c/o XCVI. The organizer purse was purchased during Caite Clothing's Christmas sale. And this hat you see on repeat is from Amazon. Everything else is closet-shopped my friends...

Style Takeaway

This week's style takeaway is a simple application of matching belts to wrist candy, and in this case the necklace as well. Somehow it brought it all together. Also, throw in a pop of color with the purse or the shoes! Oh, and don't be afraid to use an eyeglass chain, they are here for everyone. ;)
