What I Wore: Illuminating and Ultimate Grey

Admittedly today's post is inspired by the promptings of Instagram friends and their challenges. It's all about the Pantone 2021 colors for spring - Ultimate Grey and Illuminating. Though I don't fixate on the latest trends, I think they are helpful in using otherwise neglected pieces in your closet.  Or maybe you're ready for a refresh and want some of the latest colors! In this case, I had a couple of neglected shirts and a few accessories to pull off this trend. 

What I Wore: The Color of Freedom & Crowned Free

Hello, beauties! The month with a focus on love continues. We can't let the sentiment slip by just because Valentine's Day already passed, right? We need it now more than ever! In an effort to cyber celebrate I  shared my Valentine outfits past and present last week, this week focuses on the color of freedom and Crowned Free, and next week will cover limitless love. What I Wore: Earth Tones & Link UP

 

Last week I alternated my two favorite pairs of joggers with comfy tees, with the exception of Sunday. It was that kind of week.  In full disclosure, the cords I'm featuring today are no less comfy. They have an elastic waist and a soft material that tricks my brain into thinking the body is still sporting joggers. Ha! I'll share one of those outfits at the end of this post for kicks, as well as discount codes for money saving goodness.

Anyway, before I move into outfit details, let me say that I continue to build a community locally as well as virtually to share in on a 21 day health adventure. Embroidery Meets Snakeskin Featuring Caite & Kyla

Welcome to another fashion adventure and the Style Six Link up! I say adventure because today's post features my first attempts at styling a pair of snakeskin print leggings! That should be easy, but with the additional embroidery detail, I wondered if I could do them justice.  As it turns out, that these leggings are beautiful dressed up or down, with whites, beiges, tans, black and I'm sure much more! 

As for the origin of these leggings, if you follow me on Instagram stories then you may know that I visited Caite & Kyla's showroom and warehouse. In truth, I invited myself and they graciously accepted me. It was wonderful to meet the faces behind this innovative, bohemian-inspired, and adventurous clothing label. And while I was there, I noticed these leggings and asked if I could try them on. Of course, you know how that went! Wink. ;)

Hello and welcome back to another fashion feature. Though many weeks I'm on fashion auto-pilot, every once in a while I steal a moment to enjoy my closet. I know for some, shopping for clothes or getting dressed is a chore and I get it! That's one of the reasons I blog. Once upon a time, I had a small closet full of poor choices and no fashion confidence.  

Today I still have a small closet, but I make better shopping choices and I've learned to enjoy making the most of what I have. That's why today I'm sharing a shirt dress restyle, my latest "closet" addition, and of course the Blogger Six link up.

Luca Love Bracelets & Summer Style

Hello friends. How are you? I'm well considering, but I confess my thoughts run wild these days. I go to sleep and wake up with a sense of urgency. There's a timeline that I mentally review without prompting. It begins in March and continues until the present moment. Snippets from articles, videos, and conversations replay like a movie. I feel as if we've been stuck in this thematic drama- sci-fi-thriller series. Each episode has a cliff hanger to draw me back in the next day. 

For this reason and more I appreciate the light-hearted fashion adventures on Instagram and Granola & Grace. I'm still working with an intern for the summer with pictures and content creating. All photos from this post are taken by her. I'm excited about upcoming content with household items, fashion pieces, and local places! Of course, today begins with fashion! Boho vibes in the summer? Yes, indeed. From the dress to the accessories, I fully embraced those boho vibes this week. As the heat index rises in South Florida, the desire to style lowers. However, with a lightweight dress one can beat the heat. And this fabulous dress, originally featured on the blog HERE is LIGHTWEIGHT!

I wore this dress to church on Sunday, hence the jean jacket. With a/c blasting, I knew I'd get the opportunity to actually wear the denim jacket. But that's not the only reason I chose the jean jacket. With the dress being blessedly lightweight, it can be see-through on the bottom half in the right lighting. I'd rather not take the chance.
