Styling A Dress From Fall To Winter

Hello my cyber friends! If you follow me on Insta (and I hope you do!) then you've had sneak peeks from this photo shoot. Once again we're visiting the Ponce City Market in Downtown Atlanta. Kim is behind the camera and I'm flitting around in my final piece of the season from Caite & Kyla. (Click Here and Here for other pieces from them!)

Without planning it, this embroidered flowy dress became the perfect transition item to style from fall to winter! Aside from the boots, dress and scarf, the rest of the items are all closet shopped! I hope you enjoy today's style and join us for today's Style Six Link up!

When Wedges and Lug Boots Come Together

Today I'm bringing you the comfort, style, and adventure of the Divina shoe by Enjoiya Shoes. These Divina boots bring you the elevated style of a wedge heel with the comfort of a lug style. And before we go further can we take a moment and enjoy the clever brand name of "Enjoiya"?

The Enjoiya working group features three shoe brands: Secret Celebrity, Soft Comfort, and their latest addition Enjoiya. In fact, I recently read an interview with the company founder, Frank Cammarata because I enjoy behind the scenes stories. It's interesting to hear how the company survived this past year considering how fashion footwear is nonessential. The Enjoiya Group was able to keep their entire team together, shifting their design focus to address remote workers, homeschoolers, and smaller gatherings.

I also read an article on one of the designers, Vanessa Boilero, which I really loved. Her story could be written into a Hallmark movie screenplay featuring a character that works her way up from customer service to designer. So while I sport these adorable booties, I will think of Vanessa and tip my hat to her. Keep up the good work Vanessa on all those fabulous shoes!

Cotton Embroidery Dress, Styled Two Ways

Hello! Did you score some amazing deals on Friday through Monday? I grabbed as much as I could for the boys and kept myself in check on clothes, etc. This week I also shared another Gift Guide round up to help you fill those stockings for the ladies. There's one more round up coming next week, so be on the look out for "Guys & Games"! As for today I'm sharing this embroidery dress, styled two ways for the Style Six Link Up!

Another masterpiece, crafted by Caite & Kyla, features a stretchy cotton that feels soft on my skin, I wear this baby all day long. I lay on my couch in it. I run errands it, dress it up for a date in it, etc! This dress is all versatile with many ways to style, but let's start with two different but subtle looks, geared toward boho casual!

What I Wore: Soft & Trendy Tees By Rockdale Designs

None of us are strangers to a graphic tee, I'm sure. I know I've had my fair share of them over the last 5 plus years. Graphic tees have been styled every which way, allowing individuals to express an idea, thought, or feeling simply through what they are wearing. One can take up a cause, make someone laugh, share cool vibes, express art and even encourage with a design on a tee. I'd like to know who started this trend, wouldn't you?

I've worked with several boutiques, styling and sporting their tees. So I'm no stranger to what a good quality tee feels like. And today I'm happy to share Rockdale Designs' quality and trendy, vintage tees with you! They use sublimation for all their prints, which means you will have a nice permanent print that won't crack or fade!

What I Wore: The Best Shorts and Sandals For Summer

What is your day-to-day style in the summer? With Memorial Day behind us, June is ushering in the summer, which means mostly shorts and sandals for me. However, that doesn't mean that layering is last season.  Today's outfit is the perfect example of what I like to wear in summer.  It's casual but cute enough to meet up with someone. And of course, it's comfortable enough to wear all day long. What makes this outfit so comfortable? It's all about the shorts and the shoes...

What I Wore: Earth Tones With Kimonos & Wedges

There is a certain level of comfort to earth tones, wouldn't you say? Even if I'm in the mood for bold and bright, I lean into those soothing earth tones. There's something about sandy browns and ocean blues. Of course, I understand that we are all drawn to different color palettes, as warm and cool tones complement us differently. However, today's kimono has a mix of both warm and cool in those blues, and the brown sandals are a staple for any wardrobe.

*Both the kimono and sandals were provided to me for review. However, all opinions are my own.

Leggings & Lace

My hubby is right. I forget to zip my bag a lot. ;)

This outfit combined all of my favorites: stylish comfort, chic leggings and sweet lace! I don't worry about a thing (humming "don't you worry about thi-nnnnnnnnnng" right now) when I flit through my day running errands in an outfit like this. It began in comfort with the buttery soft leggings that LuLaRoe is known for and the long flowy Irma top, but when I added the lace vest I knew this outfit would cause no distraction for my day (fighting with bra straps, belly flaps, etc).

The black Irma was a great investment! It goes with a variety of leggings, as well as skinny jeans. These leggings were chosen for me by my LulaRoe rep and friend, Shannon, when we co-hosted a Pop-up/Premier Jewelry fashion event. I don't know why but I seem to like things more when others pick it out. Guess it stems from my indecisive nature!

The lace vest was a cast off from a friend and I've lost count on the many ways I've styled it! I'm not kidding. I've worn this vest over dresses, legging outfits, outfits styled with shorts, jumpsuits and skinny jeans. If you don't have a neutral vest, I recommend adding one to your shopping list.

I kept the accessories simple with stiletto earrings, one long necklace and a single turquoise
bracelet. My cognac wedges were a LOFT clearance find from many years ago! They are showing some wear and tear, so I may be justified in hunting a new pair as it looks like wedges will be sticking around for while.

Outfit Breakdown
Top & Leggings: LulaRoe (Shannon's FB)/Vest: Cast-off/Shoes: OLD/Backpack Purse: Clarks USA (their latest)/Jewelry: Premier Designs
Linking up with Not Dressed As Lamb

Now, before I close, allow me to share a cupcake or two and introduce you to my photographers of the day!

They should get a cupcake of their choice for all that hard work! They picked Cherry Kool-Aid, which sounds like something an 8 year old would pick. ;)

Butter Pecan was delivered to a friend, who could use an extra reminder that she was loved. What made this delivery even better was finding that another friend left a package at her door! We need our friends don't we? Winning a free cupcake a day from Splat Cakes is reminding me that the smallest of gestures can mean so much in someone's day. My blessing is so much better shared. Cupcakes do not fit in my "granola" life, but they sure do fit in the "grace" that's changed everything about my life.

Lots of love!

What I Wore: Comfort Wedges Styled Two Ways

aetrex wedges

Do you like shoes with height or do you stick to flats? If you stick to flats, is it style preference or because shoes with a heel are no longer comfortable? Well, each time I get a compliment on these Lexa Wedges by (and c/o) Aetrex Shoes, I want to share how comfortable they are and why that is! I've styled these coral cuties with jeans, slacks, and dresses. And there wasn't a time I didn't receive a compliment from someone! Today I'm sharing two looks I paired these shoes with, so even if you're all about flats, maybe you'll be inspired on ways to style the color coral.

The Jambu Capri - No One Will Know They're Comfort Shoes

Buffalo Denim Jacket (Costco)//Lucky Brand Dress (Different Color) // Jambu Capri Shoes C/O Jambu // JORD Wallet Clutch C/O Jord// In The Navy Necklace

Hello my friends and Happy April Fool's Day! No fooling around in this post, but almost always some goofing off on Instagram stories! Anyway, today I'm featuring a stylish pair of shoes, by Jambu that no one will know are actually comfort shoes. They are on my "make me smile list" and I'd say it's a good time for such a list, right?  Now before I begin, allow me to share a few thoughts...

Never before has our country, or even the world, experienced what we are experiencing now. Disasters, wars, etc. But a world wide virus spread? There's nothing to compare it to. We are in the unknown, but we are not ALONE. God loves us and has not forsaken us, whether it feels that way or not. I can share that because I've repeatedly experienced HIS faithfulness throughout my years.

He's always there but I'm ever in awe over the creative ways He shows Up. And He will show up now in more ways than we can imagine. I feel it already in the show of community support. We are loving on each other virtually, doctors, nurses and staff are working tirelessly and so much more! I hope this post also finds you feeling loved and makes YOU smile.

Camo Overalls: Stylish, Comfy & Wish List Worthy

While in Nashville, I borrowed these camo overalls by Z Supply from Andrea and fell in love. They are exceedingly soft, give you a little shape and are perfect to wear for an all day excursion. Oh, they are more versatile than one would think. I'm picturing them with heels, a fitted cami or body suit and maybe even a blazer for a night out. For these reasons, I'm sharing them with you, as well as putting them on my wish list!

XCVI Pastels for Spring, People and a Link Up

Hello my friends. Last Wednesday, I mentioned how much community means when the storms roll in. More specifically, I shared how much this cyber community has come to mean to me. Would you have thought we'd Zoom, Google, and have chats through Instagram or Facebook so much? Me either, but I find myself catching up with friends, long neglected, and making new friends through the world wide web.

I also mentioned last week that I had a cool story to share about how these pictures came about. So at the end of this post, right before the Style 6 link up, I'll spill the beans. In the meantime, I hope to brighten your day with spring pastels, windblown hair and heartfelt smiles. ;)

Camo Pocket Dress

Pocket Dress: Entourage Clothing/Purse: Clarks/Shades: Costco/ Jewelry: Premier Designs

Up close view from my recent snapchat story of this fun necklace and earrings:

A little accessory change up...

And in case you're a fan of big, crazy hair...

Pocket Dress: Entourage Clothing/ Shoes & Vest: Marissa Jill's Boutique/Jewelry: Premier Designs

I love this dress! The soft, flowy fabric, roomy fit and pockets give it a sublime rating in comfort. And hello! It's camo! How fun is that?!

So where did I find this lovely dress? I thought you'd never ask.

This past winter I had another opportunity to meet Elizabeth Herrin, corporate stylist for Entourage Clothing (also known as Mz Savvy Style, a blog I've followed for some time now). She was our guest speaker for a fashion & style event that a friend of mine put together. After hearing her share tips, secrets and encouragement we devised a plan to visit her at the local boutique in Athens.  My friend worked hard to get a girl's outing on the calendar so we were excited when the day finally arrived.

Side note: Did you know that each Entourage store has an onsite stylist to assist you with your selections? Tori was "our" onsite stylist, and helped me get into trouble with another outfit, which I am saving for my next post!

Back to the dress...Was I in the market for a camouflage dress? No. In fact, with the arrival of spring and the new floral trends my sights were set on a floral dress. However, once I tried this one on, the rich green tones enticed me and I was sold.  I must also mention that I was highly encouraged by said group.  Oh, I also tried on a camo tee and realized I was getting carried away. No worries, the tee found it's home with this cutie. ----->>>>

Well that's all for today my reader friends. I look forward to sharing my second outing and I proudly give photo credit (for actual outfit shots) to my friend and aspiring photographer Courtney Roulain. Check out her IG page @courtney.elizabeth.photo! We made great memories that day being silly and chatting over lunch. Can't wait to do it again. :)

XCVI Mini-Capsule And The New Try at Home Feature

I'm back with my second 5x5 mini-fall capsule, featuring XCVI Clothing! However, that's not all. They recently rolled out a shopping feature that you're going to love! Have you been on the fence about trying their fabulous flare pants or leggings? The thought of comfort mixed with style calls you, but the indecision and uncertainty hold you back? Well, what if I told you that they now have a Try At Home option?

You can order up to 8 pieces, keep them for seven days, send back what you don't love, and only pay for what you kept! As much as I've tried from their online boutique, there are still a few pieces I'm looking forward to testing out.

Meet Enjoiya and Meet Luxurious Comfort

Hello my dears. How are you holding up this week?  We had some gloomy days here in Florida but today brought sunshine and calming breezes.  I love these type of days and I fully embrace them while walking our dog, Dolly. After a cup of coffee in the quiet of the morning I grab her harness and she rushes towards the door in expectation. Usually still groggy, I slip on my bright orange shoes...every morning. And that's what I'm pleased to share with you today.

Oh how I've eagerly waited to feature these luxury shoes, designed in Italy and sent to me from Enjoiya. With dog walks on the rise for me, the timing couldn't be better. Happy mom, happy dog?  It only took a couple of wears to break these comfy shoes in. As for design, these shoes are a perforated leather upper with a soft, cushioned insole. Bonus: they get frequent, but distant compliments at the grocery store. Yes, I wear them there as well. :)

The LOFT Try On Adventure With The Sunday Showcase

Hello! And welcome to April, right? Today's Sunday Showcase with Ada and Kellyann is all about the LOFT. The three of us went to our local Loft stores for a little try on adventure. We thought it would be interesting to see what each of us picked to try on and feature. I haven't shopped at the LOFT for over a year so this outing was pure style research. Another great bonus was Kim at Fierce Fashion met up with me! More to come on that in another post, but in the meantime keep an eye out for her in these pictures.

Stuck On The Blues: Dressing Up & Dressing Down

My dear Watson, it would seem this girl has an affinity for the color blue. I admit, I'm on a bit of blue color kick lately. Let's blame it on my casual bent toward blue jeans. From there it was a necklace, gifted earrings, shoes, etc and before I knew it my closet teemed with coordinating shades of blue. Admittedly, I've done this before with army greens, pink and grays.

And this blue outfit was my stay at home Easter dress. I woke up early, put together the boy's Easter treats, stuffed eggs, threw a casserole together and quietly drank my coffee while reading Psalms before anyone was awake. Even though we weren't going anywhere, I wanted to make the day feel as special as possible by dressing up, playing music etc.

What I Wore: One Dress & Two Pairs of Shoes

I'm bringing back these fabulous neutral sandals c/o Enjoiya with a new dress. And with so many colorful options in the embroidery, I couldn't resist styling this dress with another pair of summer sandals c/o Enjoiya! Finding easy ways to restyle a look is as simple as changing out your shoes, adding a belt, hat, or jacket, and maybe even swapping out your purses! The objective is to enjoy our clothes, rather than dress in angst. In addition, with a sufficient supply of staples in your closet, there's no reason not to repeat that dress, those pants, or that favorite top!

Summer Fashion Wrap Up & Link UP

Hello and welcome to September, right? Fall is right around the corner for many of you, so I thought this would be a good time to wrap up my favorite summer pieces. For one, you may want to grab these items, or similar pieces while they're on sale. For another, those of us in a warmer climate will be sporting short sleeves and the like for weeks to come! I've listed discount codes where applicable and linked items that are still available. Also, don't forget to link up your favorite fashion or beauty posts with us this week!

Shoes For The Win!

The Most Worn

These shoes are absolutely the most comfortable shoes. I thought that the orange would deter me from wearing them with certain colors, etc. Well, it doesn't. I wear these almost daily. And guess what? They're still available. Orange will be perfect for fall, but I'm debating on another color just for kicks! ;) The wedge sneakers are priced at $89.00. However, code Rowden20 will save you 20%!

Aria Slip On Sneaker - c/o Enjoiya

The Most Fun
This was my first pair of yellow shoes - ever! Well, you know what? I don't think I've ever owned an orange pair either. Guess I'm stepping out more. Another pun! These sandals are 59.99, but once again Rowdens20 will save you 20%!
The Most Classic
I had to throw in a classic pair that I can dress up or down with an ankle strap. Boy, do I love those ankle straps! This pair is the most affordable, for 19.99 at Target! They are so cute, but I admit they aren't as comfortable for longer stints.

Most Interesting Prints

Caite & Kyla obviously takes great pride in their prints and designs! This company assisted me in leveling up my closet and I'm only happy to assist by sharing those fab designs with you lovelies! Like many companies, their summer line is currently on sale with several pieces that would transition well into fall! GranolaNGrace is still active for 20% off!

Unique & Detailed Designs...

Style Hack
Layering a tee over a dress is by no means new, but for some reason, I rarely attempted it until this summer. Crazy, right? It's a creative way to get more use out of our dresses AND I find it more comfortable than wearing a skirt. This also helps transition your clothes from summer to fall.
Most Comfortable Shorts
From spring all the way through summer, these shorts became a regular staple. They're soft with plenty of pockets for functionality and the elastic waistband brings on all the comfort! These shorts run around $54 but once again there's a code for 20% off - GRANOLA20 !
Most Adventurous Pants
These turned out to be incredibly comfortable and stylishly fun. Once again I felt a level of risk when I chose these palazzo pants, but they turned out to be incredibly comfortable and stylishly fun. They received numerous compliments as well. And of course, they're still available from XCVI.

Accessory Love
I love stacking bracelets or rings and this summer I began working with a unique, boho-lovely brand known as Luca Love. This stack of three is only the beginning as they continually create new designs to love! As for the code, you can use this LINK or type in GranolaNGraceF20 at checkout.

Alright my friends, what were your summer favorite pieces? Did you end up wearing dresses more, or shorts more?
