Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box for December!
It's a pampering, cold supporting, tension diffusing and all around fabulous month for Simply Earth Subscribers! After traveling home from Georgia my husband started feeling poorly, but a few days later it became unbearable - to me. Yeah. I know. Sadly, my nursing skills could use a little work. However, the boys and I completed two recipes out of December's box and they just happened to be a "Congestion Relief" roll on and a Congestion Relief vapor rub. Guess who has been laying by the diffuser smelling like an oil shop? (Side note: Be sure to scroll to the end to see Evan and Caden help me share the unboxing for this month!)

Eva Trends: The Queen Lace Dress
I finally pulled out this gorgeous dress sent to me from Eva Trends! It was but an ordinary date night, only this time my hubby and I were invited to a coat and tie Christmas dinner. I couldn't be more thrilled to have the perfect dress waiting for it's debut! Now pray tell, what was my reward for being ready on time? I had to pump the gas. Of course I'm kidding, but when the weather's been uncooperative for pictures, you take lighting opportunities where you can get it! Now let's chat about this dress!

The Holiday Series: Christmas Outfit Inspiration with Five Girls Fashion
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! The countdown in our home continues with 2 exceedingly hyper boys and two mildly excited young men. That persnickety, invaluable resource called time, sneakily slips through my fingers as I busy myself with new traditions, plans for next year and preparing for family to arrive. Yes! My in-laws are coming to us and we couldn't be more excited for this special addition to our new traditions. Meanwhile, the weather in Florida heats up and cools down, challenging my fashion choices (AND HAIR!!!) each day! So planning my actual Christmas outfit sits on the back burner, but I couldn't resist joining Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood in this collaboration for Christmas Inspiration.

The Striped Tunic, My Usual Felt Hat & New Tradition
That's me thinking. I'm doing a lot of thinking lately. The goal planner that I've mentioned repeatedly since November, has prompted introspection and life evaluation. In turn, I'm seeing several areas that, like a neglected flower bed, needs major tending. But rather than feel doses of self-incrimination and shame, I feel excited to try things differently; maybe even feel a modicum of freedom to dance in who I am. Have you taken some time out to assess how those major life areas such as: health, family, work, rest, finances, etc? If you haven't, it's worth the time investment because it can help you regroup and maybe even take steps towards a new plan!

Charleston: The Perfect Getaway for Couples
Hello dearies. Today I have a special treat for you. My sweet friend Mandy agreed to share a highlights post on Charleston - and it's a two part deal! The first post gives ideas for couples and sequel (coming in January) will go over a visit to Charleston for families!
Side note: Mandy informed me that Travel Magazine named Sarasota as one of the Top Five small cities to visit in America! Wohoo! Now you MUST come visit. ;)
Mandy is that friend that everyone goes to for traveling advice. In fact, she's planned many a trip for her own family, trips with friends and trips FOR friends. From the hard to find local favorites, to trips on a budget, she gets it done! Needless to say, I'm thrilled to feature her on the blog. I hope you enjoy today's travel fun. Maybe you'll be inspired to go on a traveling adventure for Christmas!!

Eva Trends and The Triple Toned Cardigan
Triple Toned Cardigan C/O Eva Trends, Denim: Judy Blue (Similar) /Hat (Similiar)/Oxfords (Similar)/Bag (Exact)
After traveling back from our Thanksgiving visit in Georgia, I am slow to settle back in. It was a long drive on Sunday because of holiday traffic with an arrival time of about 1:00 a.m., so Monday wasn't all that productive. However, I kept my mind busy with Christmas decorating in the newly revised family room (read all about that HERE), and the afternoon was speckled with the arrival of packages. My favorite!! One of those packages contained this triple toned cardigan from Eva Trends, which is also one of the items I shared on Insta stories for reader feedback!

Purple Plaid & Purposeful Plans With Cultivate Power Sheets by Lara Casey
Hello beauties! With fingers poised and a mind heavy laden in thought, I ask myself why no words are coming. And when they do, why are these composed sentences so utterly unsatisfying? How can I expect to inspire others, if I'm bored to tears myself? Have you logged off already? I wouldn't blame you in the least, but hang in there as I gather my thoughts. In addition to purple plaid pleasantries, I want to share with you "my" plan for goal searching, purpose hunting and priority setting, as well as how I plan to implement them. This can be a challenge for me to convey and I'll not overload you with too many details! Instead I'll just share a few thoughts...
Did I create this method? Oh no, my friends. I can only dream, for I am not a planner and there's only a few places where my brain works in an organized fashion: production layout and maybe my closet. All that being said, where does the plan come from? Well, follow along with me today for a few minutes as I briefly share Lara Casey's Power Sheets!

My Take On The Western Trend and Link Up
My friends, the Western trend is here and I say we embrace it according to our own personal style. If you have a pair of cowgirl boots, get those babies out and start walking. Sadly, I don't own a pair but I wanted to create an outfit "inspired" by this current trend with what I do have. That being said, please join me for another Sunday Showcase Link Up, along with Kellyann and Ada, as we embrace some of our favorite trends for fall and winter 2018! I'll also fill you in on what's coming up on the blog for November so read on. I'm so happy to have you here!

Positively Posh in Plaid: Two Ways to Style Windowpane Plaid
Buffalo, Glen, Tattarsall, Tartan, Pin Check, Shepherd's Check, Gingham, Windowpane...These are just a few of the plaid variations going on in the world my friends! In full disclosure, I had not taken the time to research the different plaids and their origins. Plaid was always just plaid to me, save for the gingham and buffalo plaids that have taken the fashion world by storm! Admittedly, I find it fascinating to know that Glen plaid originated from Scotland, but I have to stop there. There's far too much laundry to continue. So for today, I'm camping on the new to me variation of plaid - the windowpane! Join me for two similar in color, but vastly different in "feel" styles in this classic and effortlessly chic WINDOWPANE jacket. AND look for a discount code for YOU!

More Spooky Fun With Simply Earth - Makeup Remover & Creepy Crawler's Repellant
"Um, Mom! Why does he get to do the creepy, crawly repellant and I have to do the makeup remover pads??"
"They're Halloween Makeup Remover Pads!"
Perfectly placated, my youngest, by a mere 8 minutes, contentedly carried on with our third DIY project from October's subscription box by Simple Earth essential oils. Just that morning he requested "fun things" to do in the school lineup. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm not a crafter OR a planner, but if there are simple instructions and supplies waiting for me I'm all for it.
If the project is something we will actually use - even better! And today I'm sharing two more BENEFICIAL, Practical and Giftable DIY recipes.
*Warning: If you continue reading this post, you will be accosted by pictures of adorable children. I apologize for any heart melting that may occur, as well as any sudden desires to run out and adopt puppies or kittens.

Camo Overalls: Stylish, Comfy & Wish List Worthy
While in Nashville, I borrowed these camo overalls by Z Supply from Andrea and fell in love. They are exceedingly soft, give you a little shape and are perfect to wear for an all day excursion. Oh, they are more versatile than one would think. I'm picturing them with heels, a fitted cami or body suit and maybe even a blazer for a night out. For these reasons, I'm sharing them with you, as well as putting them on my wish list!

So, whether this fabulous city is on your list of places to see, or you're open to new possibilities, pull up your bootstraps and saddle up. I've got some tantalizing tidbits to share with you! Flannels, Leggings & Pumpkin Spice: All in a Tee
For the beautiful free-falling-colorful leaves; for the chilly temps, hot cups of cider, bonfires, corn mazes and pumpkin carvings, spookily decorating the front porches, I'll live vicariously through many of you. Meanwhile, I'll dig deep and awaken fall vibes with decorations sprinkled throughout the house and...this fabulous GRAPHIC TEE, a thoughtful surprise in our Nashville swag bag. I'm sporting this tee all around Florida, but the first time I wore it was comically posing in a small pumpkin patch off 12th South with five other women. This AND a 20% off code for YOU is featured in today's post!

ReThunk Junk: The Cabinets I Dreaded To Paint and Our Family Room Design
Hi! I've mentioned how DIY challenged I am, which begs the question. What am I doing in this apron, looking ready to take on the craft world? Of course there's a story behind it; an adventure, wrapped up in the amateur design of our family room, as well as the redo of a formidable, dark built-in that I dreaded to paint. (This is a lengthy post so if you'd like to skip on down to the paint details, scroll to "Enter My New Favorite Paint.")

Hello, hello. I hope this Sunday finds you well, relaxing, reflecting or getting into adventures. I'm still on an adventure high from my recent trip to Nashville, which I'll be sharing with you soon! Also, coming up on the blog is a post on my completed cabinets that I painted with the coolest "say no to chalk paint" ever! Ok, that is not the name of this paint, but that's the premiss behind it. Can we say no sanding necessary? Yes we can! Simply Earth's Essential Oils Recipe Box for October Is Superb
The October subscription box for Simply Earth essential oils is out and I LOVE it! The contents make me "feel" October in spite of my hot Florida vibes and I can't wait to share it with YOU! So today I'm thrilled to feature the contents, the first couple of recipes I've already put together, as well as the organization that Simply Earth is partnering with for this month!
Is it crazy that I get so excited about essential oils? After all, this is not my first experience with EOs by any means, and it's not my first box from Simply Earth. (You can read about my first experience with this fabulous company AND my comical first altercation with essential oils HERE in my September post.)
However, the colorful, eye catching recipe cards with step by step instructions for ways to put these quality EOs into day to day use, make this DIY challenged heart happy! Not to mention, the fact that they supply me with activities to engage my younger boys if I so choose.
I'm taking steps towards a more natural home without having to come up with the "what" or "how"!
Now let's get on with sharing goodies for this month!

Nashville Bound & the TBB ASKS Fall Edition
Hey friends! It's October 1st and I can't believe it, but I'm Nashville bound to meet some blogger friends for the first time! This trip has been on the calendar since the beginning of the year, but life and big changes kept this in the back recesses of my mind. Even now today hardly feels real. If it weren't for the fact that I'm sitting in the airport preparing to board a plane, I'd still believe I dreamed up this adventure.

Graphic Tees, Sarasota Tidbits, & Homeschool Adventures
"Take me to the sea..." That's a quote I can fall in love with. In fact, my family and I anticipated lots of playtime along the shoreline when we discovered that Sarasota would be our new home. However, the red tide algae has plagued the gulf shores of Florida since June. Before moving to Sarasota, I had never heard of red tide. Well today I'm sharing the little I've learned, taking you along for our most recent adventures around the town, during a not-so-typical homeschool day, and of course sharing a little fashion.

Questions I Ask Myself When I'm In a Slump & The J. Crew Maxi
How is your week going, lovelies? I'm hard charging the week with optimism, sprinkles of determination and faith that whatever I can't control is in good Hands! I was discouraged this weekend about the blog, my abilities and life in general. Tis sad, but perhaps necessary as a little dip into solemnity pushes me to reassess. I believe it can a good thing because like all humans, my priorities get out of alignment. My motivation is drawn from the wrong source, which leads to insecurity and I begin to look around at what others are doing, instead of working on my own God-given purposes.

How I'm Styling For Fall In The Florida Heat
When you're hot, hot, hot! It's the first "official" day of fall but Florida most certainly missed the memo. However, I hear that my Georgia friends feel the same way. Perhaps by next week we may see temps dip down into the lower 80s. Hmmmmmm. Until then, I'll be faking it by wearing hot styles in cool weather colors. Won't you join me today for how I'm styling for fall in the Florida heat and yet another Costco find? You're the best!

Who Will Be Your Next Muse & The Cutest Turquoise Dress
Hello! Another week is logged into the "Rowden Life Lately". The boys are keeping me on my toes with driving lessons, screen time monitoring (to a degree), homeschooling for the twins and enforcing family time. Yeah, we have to enforce it because not all are onboard to chill with us. Somehow we've become utterly uncool.
I'm uncool and I know it.

Racerback Tank Goes Smashingly With Camo
Surprise packages in the mail are positively delightful and when said package is a soft, adorable pink tee one might instantaneously be inspired to pair said tee with a camo skirt. And that my friends is exactly what transpired for me last week.
Ok. Enough of my silliness. In all seriousness, I had no sooner finished lamenting the need for cooler tops when this cutie arrived. What a welcome break from all the junk mail we continue to receive since moving!
I opened the box and smiled at the message from home. Sweet tokens of thoughtfulness - I can learn so much from people like that! Why is it so difficult for me to get packages sent out?? I have items that live in my closet awaiting their destiny in another home...

Costco Style: The Most Worn T-Shirt Dress
Hello friends! I hope this post finds your day going well! I'm happy to report that almost four weeks of south Florida living are behind me and I'm still alive, though mere breathing causes me to break out into a sweat. While conversing with others outside of air conditioning I catch my thoughts occasionally drifting to the trickle of perspiration coursing down my back or abdomen. Then my focus returns to the matters at hand, knowing that everyone has their own personal trickle or trickles. Ah well, dare I say I'm growing accustomed already?

Our Georgia Season Finale: Beauty In Community
If my blog and life were a television series, I'd say this moment right here would be apart of the season finale. The series isn't complete. On the contrary, a whole new season is in the works, but I need to wrap up this Georgia season. Now, I may be the writer behind the screen, but the ultimate Writer added some twists to the story that still causes my heart to skip a beat and my eyes to fill with tears.
So my dears, this will be a long one. I hope you'll bookmark this page for when you have a free moment and settle in with me as I share this sweet story...

"Girls Just Wanna..." The Perfect Workout Outfit & Stress Reliever
Hello! I interrupt my own blogging break with a brief post on my favorite workout outfit to DATE, as well as a quick service announcement about how important regular exercise is, especially during times of high stress living. As you may know, my family just moved to Florida. We sold our house in Georgia, purchased another and moved 500 miles in 3 and a half weeks! Neither my husband nor I are Type "A" personalities and we have a strong aversion to paperwork, so you can imagine what we were like to live with.

I'm Taking a Short Break During Our Move To Florida...!
My friends! This Georgia girl is in the middle of a move and I have SO much to tell you, but first I have to find my coffee mugs and all my clothes!! We bought an older home in Florida that has a pool and we love it. However, my hubby and I are quickly learning we know little about pool maintenance, cement walls and Florida homes in general.
Side note: I'm living in these jeans by Articles of Society from Southern Lace Boutique.
So, I'm staking a short break but will be back soon with a beautiful story about the community I fiercely love and new adventures. I wish I could hug each and every one of you!!
In the meantime, you can find us amongst the boxes.
Much love,
Chrissy

Cool, Casual and Comfortable In Joggers
Hello! Today I'm featuring a relaxed, comfy style that I shopped from my closet, a few cupcake moments and details for a trucker hat giveaway!
Before I get started, let me just say that the days are beginning to converge together! Selling one house, while buying another, all the while packing up life is no joke! We celebrated 4th of July by cleaning out the storage building, attic and a head start on the garage. UGH! That was overwhelming at times, but thankfully we continue to make progress out there.
There's only a week and a day until our scheduled closing on this house so we are at full throttle around here.
